There are some articles around discussing 2016 WDW resort pricing, and while much of the discussion centers around how prices went up overall, WL is standing out as a comparatively good value.
They mention it, and specifically the lack of price increase for Standard View rooms, in this article: http://**************.net/2015/06/25/many-disney-world-resorts-show-major-price-increases-for-2016/
That site has another interesting graphic showing the relative prices of some representative resorts, including WL. It is at: http://**************.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Disney-World-2016-Price-Seasons-from-**************.net_.jpg
The fascinating thing I see here is that the price difference between WL and Poly (both Deluxe resorts) is almost as big as the difference between AOA and WL for many times of the year. This emphasizes that WL is the value of the Deluxe category, which sounds good to us.

(that's about as optimistic an attitude as I can summon).
We will be there Oct. 21-27 2016 and couldn't be more thrilled. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary and going without the kids. This will be our first ever stay at WL and our first deluxe resort. I wanted to say thanks so much to WDWKook and the rest of you for all the terrific info on this thread, I've been lurking for a while now here and am excited to join the WL group!
to the DIS and the WL/VWL thread - we're honored your first post is here on our little thread.

Always fun having a resident DA
. This model of "rooms for $450 a night" isn't working for the WL, the GF, and a number of other places.... all of which I love. I think WDW is doing what they really NEED to do: stop competing with all the Motel 6 equivalents surrounding the park - simply because they CAN NOT win.
