I love your WL pictures. The picture that you took from the BRV entrance looking toward the WL is a new angle for me.

Congratulations! Being at the lodge for Christmas time is on my bucket list. Being near the elevators should help stay close to the lobby and avoid the long hallway walk. Almost all studios have a balcony, but 4533 does not so I would specify that you want a room with a balcony. Even though it isn’t an option in the online checkin requests you can call the reservation center and have it noted on your reservation.
There are no different view categories for the Villas, so you can wind up with any of the rooms. Hopefully they can get close to your request though.
Enjoy your stay, and the time planning it.
Good morning from Wilderness Lodge.
I love these! I’m ready to go back
It seems like the elevator refurb has taken forever. They were still working on the Roaring Fork elevators when we were there in September. I'm glad to see at least one elevator still has the old look. I would think that the Roaring Fork elevators would get a new panel to replace the plain one soon.If you miss the look of the old elevators, the mid wing elevators on the Copper Creek side (South Wing) still have the original look:
I love the look of the older ones a little better, more lodge like to me.Here’s a post about the modernization of the lodge Elevators. (Boring for some, but interesting for me and hopefully a few others.) This is a project that started about a year ago. The elevator cabs have been modernized:

I was glad to see they kept the unique beaver handrails. The cabs are brighter than the old ones, but look good.
The mid-wing elevators by Roaring Fork were done as well, they just don’t have the detailed pane on the back wall

I expect that they won’t be done until a later Copper Creek refurbishment.
At least all seven public elevators are up and running now, and we haven’t had any long waits.
I love seeing your lodge pictures and can't wait to hear all about your trip.Sadly we are flying home today. I will post more pictures here as I get home and play with them, but hopefully they will help pass the time for all of us until we get to return to the lodge in person, whenever that may be.
Perhaps it was mentioned up above….is BR up for a refurb soon? We’re checking out today (had a lovely stay overall) and boy are the rooms (at least the studios) dated. And whoever installed the toilet paper holder must have thought everyone is a contortionist![]()
Did I just hear correctly that Geyser Point is indefinitely closed???!!
