Congrats on your newest arrival!
Thanks guys... he is snoozing quite well! Definitely ready for this cold weather to go away though--- where is spring?!?Thanks, blackdogg!
You have a brand new Lil' Lodger?! Congratulations! I hope he's sleepin' like a baby and looking at plenty of WL photos. WL will be perfect for his first visit, but maybe not the bunk bed yet

I'm currently booked at WL CL ffrom 9/30-10/4. Has anyone heard that the pool will be closed then?
The bus to Epcot generally takes a little over 20 minutes total, including the stop to pick up at FW. It is usually the quickest way to get there, but we found it to be more fun to catch the boat to CR, then Monorail to TTC and monorail to Epcot. This took longer, but was fun and we got to stop at CR on the way. On the way back to WL the bus was also shared with FW, but WL was the first stop.
Compared to staying at an Epcot resort these options both get you to the front side of Epcot, so another option is to take the Bus to HS and then walk or take the boat to the International Gateway side of Epcot. Again it isn't as fast, but can be fun if you want to explore along the way.
Jumping back on the bandwagon for updatesNew thread looks fab! Thanks so much Kook!!! Excited to have dining reservations coming up at the end of the month & even more excited that this will be our first visit with our newest family member whom arrived two weeks ago
Wilderness Lodge sounds about perfect for lil boys first trip
Love these pics! Thanks so much for the post![]()
15 more days until checkin at the Wilderness Lodge! I am excited to escape the cold & snow. Anyone just back from WL have any new pictures to post? I need a fix - lol...
Does anyone have pics or posted pics in the past of the new kiddie pool?
So, I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it?!? I've been super sick so maybe it was an illness fueled delusion. I thought I saw a message from Disney to me, but now I can't figure it out.![]()
a 2 week old? CONGRATULATIONS Indeed!
Maybe you saw a post from/concerning the closing from last fall? (The Silver Creek Springs pool at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is scheduled to be closed Wednesday, September 3 through Thursday, November 27, 2014, for general refurbishment and maintenance.--- per previous posting) I know this past refurb on the pool has taken awhile & I'm pretty sure the villa pool had a bit of work just prior to the main pool. Let's hope that's it! I don't see anything listed so far as the pool being closed for our dates
We're pretty excited... he has 2 very well seasoned older sisters ready to show him what's up with all things Disney
lucky guy! plus he's #3 which means we're pretty laid back this time

Thanks for posting about your VWL stay and I hope you get to book another trip soonJust got back from another wonderful stay at the lodge on Saturday. This time we stayed in the villas vice the main resort. I was a little concerned that at the villas wouldn't have the specialness that we love so much about the lodge, but the magic was all there. The villas lobby is absolutely beautiful and it was just as peaceful as the lodge. Missed the lake view and was stuck with a bus stop view instead, but to be in the serenity of the lodge the beeping of the busses could be ignored.
We had lots of magic band issues, but I won't blame my beloved lodge for that. Also got to eat at Artist Point and Whispering Canyon and enjoyed both.
Thanks to kook and everyone on the threads for all the lodge info and especially intel on where do get my beloved vino ; )
The WL feature pool and new splash pad area re-opened in December 2014 after a long rehab. No plans that I know of now to close it again.I'm currently booked at WL CL ffrom 9/30-10/4. Has anyone heard that the pool will be closed then?
Just a few more days! I'm so excited!!

Adding another trip is worth the sacrifice and you'll have a nice, big suite with two bathrooms. WL will be there for a future stayVery sad to report we made a resort change today. We switched to a family suite at AoA. It didn't save us as much as a switch to CBR, but it'll pay for the extras we might do, or for our Wine and Dine registration. Decided we had to scale back a bit since we are adding another trip this year. (Although we hope that will be just DH and I.) Sad we won't be at the lodge, but we know the kids love AoA so it will still be a magical trip!
I love pictures like these. Since our first stay at WL is coming up in 27 days, I like having a little preview of what we will see!View attachment 81214 Sometimes I just take pictures of familiar sites, not because they will be great photos, but because in my mind I can imagine myself walking past them, hearing the sounds, smelling the smells, and almost taking them for granted, because for a short time they are home.View attachment 81213
