Dax's Thread about Restroom Attendants has remined me of something I've been meaning to do for a long time.

When we go to Disney parks and resorts, we all know about and interact with the 'up front' cast members and characters, but what about the other cast members? I'm talking about the men and women who work, often on the background, keeping the parks and resorts clean, safe and providing services for guests.

So I thought it would be nice to mention them for a change and give warm THANK YOU for the essential and often thankless tasks that they perform.

I'll start where I came in and say, "Thanks to all the Restroom Cleaners for doing a great job!"

NB. I know that some guests may have come across the odd grumpy/rude cast member, but I'm talking in general terms here - thanks.

I so very much agree. I oftentimes like to take their pictures, along with a 'thank you', they so often are 'missed' by the guests as they hustle about. And they always smile when we thank them. Here are a few examples, housekeeping, custodian, front desk...........

I'll send a great big thank-you to the guys over at the Polynesian who several years ago brought our group back to POR themselves!!! We asked them to call us a cab and next thing you know, we were in a van, talking to two terrific CM's. Said they were sort of bored and were quite happy to take us back.

and a big thanks to all the transportation people -- buses, trains,boats,monorails -- have all been helpful everytime we're there -- especially when the 5 year old wanted to ride everything

A huge thank you to all the mousekeepers! You clean up messy bathrooms, pick up used towels, make dozens of beds, vacuum, dust, and straighten up our rooms each day -- while we are off having fun at the parks. Thanks for doing a great job for us!!

I'll say a big thank you to all the gardeners who keep the parks, resort grounds and other areas on Disney property looking so neat and pretty throughout the year!

Like Dan, I always speak to the attendants, etc. to thank them for a great job.

Here's another unsung hero - one who gets to walk in the parades, is not a character, but does a vital job in ensuring the safety of the full parade that follows.

Here's a big THANK YOU to the guy who walks along behind the stagecoach in the Share a Dream Come True parade and collects the horse 'droppings.
