Any plans on the podcast to discuss Disney's "Reimagine Tomorrow" training that leaked out over the weekend?

No. Disney has implemented a program in their company to make themselves a more inclusive place to work and also deal with systemic racism issues. It's very important and should've probably been implemented much earlier, but ultimately, it has no impact on people who are traveling to Walt Disney World or DCL or any other Disney destination and it has no impact on vacation planning. I think it's important for everyone to look into and it can spark some learning and respectful dialogue, but I can't see how this will have any impact on anyone planning to come to Disney.

Walt has been dead for 55 years. Nobody today could possibly know what he might or might not think of anything today, even the current Disney Parks and Resorts.

If you don't like the training, my suggestion would be don't go work for Disney. They're not mandating Guests undergo this training as they walk into the parks. If that's not enough for you, then stop going. I'm not sure why one would expect the podcast to cover this, given that most WDW Guests probably don't even know what "Reimagine Tomorrow" is, let alone care about it.

You are completely missing the entire point. This was a major news item. Last week on the podcast Pete mentioned that there are many weeks where he struggles for topics for the weekly podcast. Disney throws up a softball but the Dis isn't going to touch it? The cancel culture is an extremely polarizing subject and clearly the Dis doesn't want to lose listeners over it so it won't be discussed on the show.

People always threaten to stop going over stuff they’re outraged about and guess what? They keep going. They just whine about it online. Happens on these boards all the time. “This is the last straw” then the next thing you know they’re planning a trip.

This isn’t a “major news item.” Just a copy and paste job, sensationalized clickbait targeted to the people who will react to it. Oooh, Disney controversy, this’ll get clicks! The “whistleblower” was just looking for attention. This wasn’t some top secret program like it’s being portrayed as.

That depends entirely on your definition of a "major news story." For a small subset of blogs and media, this is a huge story, but for most people -- even hardcore Disney fans -- they don't even know what this is. I really haven't seen most Disney blogs or podcasts even mention this story. The DIS Unplugged podcast has not shied away from more controversial topics in the past; I just don't think it's as big of a deal as you do. Also, not for nothing, the training occurred months ago so it's not the most recent news item.
