How do I find Andre's site. I've searched but no luck.

I've just updated http://www.portorleans.org/buses.php with the info on the revised bus routing which started a few days ago.

The changes seem to make the service generally more consistent and predicable, with the main details to take away being:

• Buses now start at 7am (whereas the first buses used to be around 6:45am).
• The first few buses of the day will run shared FQ/POR routes for all destinations (apart from AK for some reason?).
  
• More routes now run independent services, rather than having so many shared POR/POFQ services. Both MK and Studios now seem to have a fully independent service all day, rather than sharing.
• Whenever buses are shared, the first call is now always FQ rather than RS (it used to vary a bit park-by-park).
• The Riverside internal route is now consistently West > North > East > South for all park buses (except the Disney Springs / Internal Shuttle route which calls at South first).

Seems odd they would make South Depot last picked up. I would think with people eating breakfast in the food court a lot of people would use South. With FQ and 3 stops first at POR, I wouldn't think your chances of a seat or even bus that's not full would good. If busses are full do they send a fresh bus to the stops they couldn't accomadate, or do they start over again at FQ?

South is the last on most busses so that it's easy to get to breakfast from the far reaches of the resort. It really makes total sense when you think of it from that standpoint. From standing in the food court after having breakfast, it makes more sense to have a bus pick up all the people there. I love the transportation at Riverside, but I would definitely advise against getting on buses at the South Depot if you need to have a seat. It's really not that far of a walk to get to the West Depot from the food court.

Usually if a bus is too full to continue to the next stop, the driver will radio in to let dispatch know where she left off, and then they will most likely send a bus to pick up at the next stop (if there isn't another one on the way already).

In the photos I've seen of the murphy beds in AB, it looks like there may be three drawers under the bench/bed...are those real drawers or just faux fronts?

Yes, three real drawers. Not very big though for a room that can sleep five people.

Well it's referred to several times in the FAQ posts at the start of this thread (note the thread title), and in my sig on all my messages here (link is below), and if all else fails www.portorleans.org is usually in the first couple of results for "Port Orleans" on all the major search engines (it's often ranked higher than the actual Disney site). It really shouldn't be too hard to find!

Thank you! I did touch your name on your picture here and went to the FAQ mentions it often but I didn't see where anyone said how to get to it. I also googled but I'm not great with computers, so thanks for the link.

Thanks for clarifying. Actually, we are just a family of three so we should be fine. I like to unpack 6yo DS's things (DH and I mainly live out of the suitcases) so three small drawers will be fine for his stuff.

Hello! I understant Magnolia may have some roof work going on... and that the bridge may be closed at certain times via Old Man Pool. When looking at the map, it looks like there is another path to the lodge closer to where the royal themed rooms are. (Between Oak and Parterre). Would this access still be available? Thanks!

Yes, the other bridge would be open, it has nothing to do with Ol' Man Island. The cross-island routes will mostly be open too anyway.

Yes, the other bridge would be open, it has nothing to do with Ol' Man Island. The cross-island routes will mostly be open too anyway.

We stayed at CBR in September, but booked our bounce back for June at POR so that we could try a new resort. I was going to request the mansions side, but I am afraid that the roofing project might be noisy during the day. We like to hit early EMHs and then come back to our resort after lunch and take a nap or relax by the pool, so I want to make sure it's not too noisy. I am not sure how far apart everything is at POR. Do you think it will be noisy by the pools on the AB side of the resort?

I have a food question concerning mickey waffles. lol. Are the childs waffles and adult waffles same size and how many of each? Kids insist they must have mickey waffles after I said we weren't eating out every morning.

When we stayed at CSR in September the kids waffles were a smaller waffle but they got I think 3. The adult ones were the same put I think you got 5 of them. They were the right size to dunk into the syrup cups one ear at a time.

We are going in May and staying in the Royal Rooms. Most mornings either (a) we will just eat breakfast in room via grocery delivery, or (b) I will walk to the food court and bring stuff back while the wife and kids get ready. Given that, should is it better to head to the East Depot vs the South? I wonder if I should request to be closer to the East Depot than my original plan to request to be near the foot bridge. Our intent is to head to the parks early, possibly for rope drop if we can manage.

Several places suggest allowing 1 hour to travel from resort to a park. Is that suggesting to be at the bus stop an hour before hand? So, if a park opens at 8:00am be at the bus stop by 7:00am?

We plan to do HDDR for a dinner, and Ohana for a Breakfast. I was thinking to hire a taxi for those. Does a taxi drop you off right in front of HDDR or the resort?

yes 1 hr is what we allow. We always take taxi to Poly expect $20 all in. HDDR we allow 1 hr 45min and use disney transportation. Bus to MK boat to FTW. IF you taxi to FTW you have to take an internal bus to HDDR but FTW is very close to POR so it shouldn't take very long.

It depends on where your room is located. Many Royal Rooms are closer to the main (South Depot) bus stop, but there are also quite a few that are closer to the East Depot (especially if you have a Standard View). I would suggest asking for a room located near to the footbridge leading over to the main building, which means easier walking to get breakfast and easier to get to the South Depot afterwards too (although the East Depot won't be too far away either, have an explore once you get there are see which you prefer).

You won't hear any noise over in the AB side, and probably very little in the next mansion building along (Acadian House) - unless you happen to be very unlucky and they are working on the Magnolia Terrace wing which is closest to your Acadian House room.

Buses start at 6:30 every day.

We caught a bus at POFQ around 7:00 - 7:15 am in November. Then we went over to POR (the only MK bus we shared) that got us to our 8:10 ADR with time to spare.
