I'm new to this thread, but felt I needed to share- go see the Osborne lights in HS. They were amazing. We had limited time, and that was unfortunate. Spend some time there!

The December 2013 Recreation Activities and Movie Schedules for Port Orleans French Quarter is now available. See the main Recreation Activities Schedule page for full-size PDF version, or click on the image below.

The outdoor movies will start at 7pm and the daily campfires commence at 5pm this month.

Don't miss the seasonal musical presentations in the run-up to Christmas. Special events including games, activities and Character Greetings will take place on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and more fun is planned at Riverside for New Year's Eve from 9pm until midnight.

Since I'm specifically interested in POFQ info, I thought I'd ask this here instead of the Transportation board...

What is the shortest length of time it has taken you to get from MCO to POFQ using ME?

FWIW, my arrival is early afternoon on a Thursday in early February. Took me 90 minutes this year, but I don't know if that's the norm.

May this year on a Saturday, boarded bus at 17.23, drove out of airport at 17.35 and arrived at POFQ at 17.55 with no stops before POFQ.

I had good intentions of writing up notes on the holiday but this was as far as I got :rotfl2:

That's 5:23pm, 5:35pm and 5:55pm in American time.

Happy day after Thanksgiving (USA).

Took us 30 minutes from airport to POFQ with a stop on Old Key West where exactly one person disembarked.

Is it true you need to do OLC before you're able to customize your bands?

No. Some people say that by doing online check in, it triggered their ability to customize their bands and maybe that is true, but you don't have to.

We have customized MB's on three separate trips now. We have never done online check in.

No I've already customized my bands for my March trip. That happens really early.

However once you online check in at 60 days you can also start doing (usually runs around the same window) FP+ or the BOG lunch FP+.

(based on the same timeline as my Oct trip).

Thanks for the answers to my question. I guess it's just been my bad luck on my 2 ME trips that I was always the last stop (at BC 2012 and POFQ 2013). Fingers crossed that I get a less-than-90-minute trip from plane to resort this year.

And to chime in on LucyBC80's question, in early November I was able to customize my magic band for my 2/6/14 trip without any online check-in. I just went on MDE one day and the option to customize was there.

A week from tomorrow is my 60-day mark for FP+ and I'm still trying to figure out what I want for which days. (Where's that keeled-over head-spinning smiley when I need it?)

I'm with you. The ambience earound the resort is fine. I feel. Much safer getting into a clean bed where I can see if a bug is on it.exterminators are more costly then a disney trip.. There's more important issues to whine over then white bedding. I think smoking section right out the food court door is much worse then the white bedding. Who wants to smell that when they are getting morning coffee. Ewwww bad spot for a smoking section

Agree with the smoking area location.

Wondering if I can order something online and ship it to the resort. From Canada, so it's from a company that only ships to the States. Is this allowed? It's medical equipment, would this be a problem? We are staying for 12 nights, so should be enough time for it to arrive.

Thanks ... Only 2 more sleeps!

I believe so, I know you can have groceries delivered so I wouldn't see why not

Friends - my DH & I are super excited about our approaching trip ... We are booked with DS6 & DS2 in a garden view at POFQ. My very best aunt is considering joining us for part of our stay. Since DS2 is only 2 would we need to get her a separate room or could we add her to our reservation for just part of our stay? Thanks for your help!

You can add her to your reservation and pay the $15 extra adult fee for the nights she is there. Your 2 year old doesn't count against the max room occupancy.

I need to call and ask the FQ to wash our bedsheets in a very gentle/hypo allergenic detergent. Does anyone know when I should call (week before? sooner or later) and what detergent they will use? We had a severe allergic reaction during our last trip and the doctor suggested that among other things that we always use certain detergents. We use a scent free, hypoallergenic, green detergent at home...I'm tempted just to bring our own bedsheets and ask them not to change them.
