You can still ask in person if your requests aren't met even with online check in. Online check in guests are forbidden from going to the front desk or anything.
If you do like what you get you can skip the front desk all together, if you get your room number via fax
If you've ever arrived at the same time as a ME full you can see the advantage of skipping the front desk.
Otherwise, it doesn't serve a lot more than a fax does.
A map of the resort is included with the text with your room numberBut, how can you skip the front desk all together - how do you know where the room is located if you don't go to the front desk? Just curious.
Ok, thanks.A map of the resort is included with the text with your room number
During the online check-in, you can enter you phone contact info, email and/or text. If they have your room ready around the time you tell them you will arrive, they will send the room number along with location. Buildings are numbered 1 through 7, and the second number in the four digit room number, is the floor, 1 through 3. There are signs in each building directing you 2 room numbers. But, how can you skip the front desk all together - how do you know where the room is located if you don't go to the front desk? Just curious.
I do both. Unless there is some underlying reason why it's a pain to go by the front desk.Ok, thanks.
I guess I am old school, but I kinda like the excitement of going to the front desk! (But, we do fax ahead of time.)
There's a possibility that you can get your room number texted to you before you arrive and Bypass The Front Desk.
The ride is about 15 to 20 minutes. The last boat leaves at 11:30 as of our trip last month. They make an announcement about the last boat as you pull in to the DS landing and also mention the bus back to the resort.Does anyone know about how long the boat ride is from the resort to Disney Springs? and when does the last one leave Disney Springs to return to the resort?
Yes that is what I did last year. We got a text and an email while we were on the ME bus. Went to the room and we were able to get in with my band. DH's band didn't work so we had to get his reset.Crazy question then...How do you get in your room...with your magic band?

Usually it's best to make your request in the form of what you really want, rather than a specific room, and then use a room number as an example. Something like this: "We would love to have a corner room on the third floor, if possible. Example: 2348" Specifically requesting one room limits your chances of getting what you really want in that it may not (probably won't) be available. Listing two or three things, starting with what you really want, lets the room assigner know the types of things you are looking for, and helps them assign a room that meets at least some of them. The more general you can make your request, the better the chances are that they can find something.Quick question. can I request a certain room?
Good catch, LOL.I assume you meant "aren't".![]()
Yes, they do have a large variety of canned/bottled beers. When I answered Abita I was thinking "on tap" for some reason. That's always where my mind goes first when talking beer. They had a wide selection can beers at the pool bar if that helps any.
Excellent advice. And why I like the fax service from TP. They use a specific room as the type preferred and write the fax "in room assigner code" so that it tells them the features you are looking for in a room. Like you, it's not been 100% but we have had excellent results overall. I always put a little extra text in the fax and every time I have, the CM at check in has read the notes about our room and they are exactly what I put on the fax. So I know more often than not, they do get them and read them and enter them in their system. And I realize if they can't fill the request, they can't fill it. I can tell they do try though, which is all I can ask for.Usually it's best to make your request in the form of what you really want, rather than a specific room, and then use a room number as an example. Remember that your can make room requests by calling in or faxing, but that they are not guaranteed. I've had mixed results in making room requests, sometimes they are spot on, and sometimes, they have been the exact opposite of what I requested. I'm sure it depends on how full the resort is.

what phone number and fax # would I use and would I have better results just picking up the phone and calling and how many days before check in should I do this? thank you
