Yes, they do have a large variety of canned/bottled beers. When I answered Abita I was thinking "on tap" for some reason. That's always where my mind goes first when talking beer.

On draft is always better. Unfortunately so many times when you want "craft" beer on tap all you can find is Blue Moon...sure, it was a craft beer at one time...not so much anymore...just Coors with an orange slice.

And it really wouldn't be "French Quarter" if they didn't have Abita.

We are thinking about staying here for the first time this coming summer either July or August. Just waiting for a good discount. I watched a video of the resort and it seems really nice. I think we will book garden view. I just wished they had magnified make up mirror in the rooms because without my glasses I cannot see.

Just order a cheap magnifying mirror from Walmart or Amazon, $10-$20 isn't much compared to the overall cost of a vacation in Disney World!

Wondering how many people have had success getting early checkin if it's your only room request? We will be arriving early and going to MVMCP that night, so the kids will need to rest. If you go on disneys website the 26th November has opening hours listed, but nothing on the 25th so assuming its reopening then, but that would miss thanksgiving by a few days. Theirs a thread on another forum regarding it

We have gotten it on half of our trips. Depending on the weather just go to the pool and relax on the lounge chairs if the room isn't ready.

Buy one of these. I keep it in my travel make up bag. It works so much better than even the magnifying mirrors in the Deluxe rooms.

Disney officially only announced "Fall" for the reopening, which gave them a pretty wide lattitude. My contacts have been saying (still off the record) they really hope it will be open by Thanksgiving weekend, and I guess the 26th still just covers that. There still looked to be quite a lot of work to do from the most recent photos though.

We are staying at the French Quarter for the first time and really like the ambiance. It is a quiet and peaceful place to return at the end of the day and we enjoy the boat ride to Disney Springs. The food court options are a bit skimpy, but other than the weekend when the resort was filled with hungry runners,we have not had to wait too long for food. I would certainly stay here again.

We booked a Garden view because I really didn't want a view of a parking lot (or the pool, honestly) but we like a King too. I know that King was an option for booking, but Garden was more of a priority for us. Since we're a couple of theoretically they have it on our reservation request that we'll be there for our anniversary, do you think the chance is good that we would request a King and actually get it?

If you add that you want a king onto your room request that will help also. They do have a couple choices to pick from when you do online check in. I'm not sure if the have king bed as an option though. Maybe someone here knows what the choices are?

Thanks... I emailed my TA to see if I could get King added as a request. I already have Garden (which we reserved) and upper floor, so I hate to ask for too much... though I know they're just requests for the upper floor and King, and aren't guaranteed no matter what.
