Resort Thread Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER Resort

Question -- do you think buildings 5 and 7 might be open by mid April? Coming down for a week towards the end of April, and right now I'm booked at CSR in the Tower instead of at POFQ because I couldn't find any discounts for my dates. There are rooms available at rack rate, but they're $70 a night more expensive than Gran Destino, which is a big chunk of change for 7 nights.

I'm thinking maybe when all the buildings are open again they'll have a lot more rooms, and maybe a discount will open up?
Building 7 has been completed; Building 5 is the only building left to be completed.

We are staying at POFQ in a couple weeks for the first time in over 10 years. Do the rooms now have Keurigs, or are they still the Pod coffee makers?

Thanks.

Refurbishment schedule question.. If we are staying at the end of March in a Garden View, should we be requesting a certain building, or would any in-service room be a refurbished room? Sounds like only building 5 is still left... Thanks!

I have been at FQ since march 8th and three buildings are closed-#3, #4, and #5. When i checked in i was told 3 buildings were currently closed so it may be hard to meet my room request. Walking around it appears they may be refurbishing some outdoor parts of buildings 3 and 4. That’s nearly 1/2 the resort so busses have been even sweeter than normal.

Sounds like a crapshoot, but I like that buses are quieter. I guess I'll request Building 6 or 7??

Building #5 has still not re-opened from its main refurbishment downtime, all of the other buildings have been refurbished.

However they are now also working on some snagging issues (not least of which appears to be leaking shower doors) on other buildings, which currently means #3 and #4 are temporarily closed again while they do remedial work. I assume #1, #2 and maybe #6 will also get the same treatment over the next month or two (presumably the most recent #5 will already have the fixes applied, and perhaps #7 too?).

Any news about how this has been affecting those with reservations? Anybody reported being moved to a different resort due to these unscheduled closures?
