Am I right in thinking the outlets are on the other side of the doorway?

There are some there or, near the coffee station in the coffee cabinet. Coffee station is closer.

To decorate with lights, bring battery powered fairy lights. The ones I have used at Pop are quite lightweight and have an option for on, off, or timer. I can't recall the length of time they stay on, but it works great so I come back to a lighted window without the lights being on all day long. Also, you'll want to bring some clear suction cup hooks so you can place the lights as desired. I love that so many at Pop decorate. One year we stayed at BWI for the holiday time and I think we were the only ones with lights on our balcony.

We rather use plug in lights with extension cords and a couple of timers. This way they come on and off without us needing to turn them on/off via battery. We use the coffee area plug for the window lights and small tree on window ledge

this works although some battery operated lights also have timers so might be easier than avoiding the extension cord through the trip.

So it's shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in shower... and hand soap and body lotion by sink? Really trying to minimize what we need to bring.

Very good if that is your only request.

If you arrive and have not been assigned the 90s,swing by the Front Desk and nicely ask them to check again and tell them you don't mind waiting if necessary.

The 90’s is not as highly requested as some others so your chances are good but it also depends on when you are visiting. That building has not been refurbished yet so there is a possibility it may be closed for refurbishment during your visit.
