Can anyone tell me if the doors are magnetic? I've stayed here before, and I think I remember that they are - but want to make sure before I spend time on door decorations!

Yes, doors are magnetic although if you decorate the outside of the door it is open to the environment as doors to room are accessed from outside rather than an internal hallway,

Why didn’t you take the skyliner to studios? I have waited in the line all the way back in the 50’s when they were only loading one family per car and it didn’t take any time at all. Line constantly moved. Last trip when they loaded groups together it was significantly faster than that. The lines at the transfer station move very quickly too. Definitely way less than 2 hours. Mattresses are individual taste of course and sorry it was bad for you. I like it much better than my mattress at home and have considering buying the same one if I could possibly find it lol. Glad you were safe during the hurricane and had a reasonably good experience there during it. I don’t think the food court is set up to have a full resort with parks closed so I can only imagine how crowded it must have been.

Yes, I agree with the skyliner! Back in Dec 2021 on our 10 day trip, it was very efficient and hardly took any time at all to load, even after the fireworks at EPCOT the long line moved very fast. I also love the beds! I slept great!

Just back and had a great stay at Pop. However, my room location requests were not met at all. I know they are just requests but asking for a lower floor 50s and getting the top floor 80s is pretty much the exact opposite of what I wanted. I have to use a scooter at WDW and do not like elevators at all. As in, if I were alone, it would be a major problem. Luckily I had a family member on this trip so that wasn't a concern.

Also, they were quick to bring a box fan and blankets when requested. My family member needed to drown out the noise of me sleeping, and I needed not to freeze. lol.

Originally scheduled our first trip at POP for next Nov (2023) but...couldn't stand to wait that long so moved it up to April 16-21, 2023

Wondering if the POP food court has hand dipped ice cream like at All Star Sports - sometimes that's what I have for dinner when I'm on vacation

Sorry to hear your room requests were not met. Did you go to GS and request to be moved before going to your room? My experience has been that normally they can find something if I ask. It’s not ideal to have to do this but with the resort running at or near capacity and almost every person requesting the same general location, they can’t meet everyone’s requests.

No, we arrived pretty late at night. I just wish we could have at least had the lower floor part of the request, but it was fine.

For any insiders, will the H20 shampoo and conditioner still be at this resort in November/December? We are taking carry-on luggage and I am trying to figure out my 1L bag for toiletries.

There is no indication that the resorts are doing away with soap, shampoo and conditioner. So they will all be at this resort in November/December.

There is no indication that the resorts are doing away with soap, shampoo and conditioner. So they will all be at this resort in November/December.

H2O products should be there until the end of 2022 according to announcements.

After that I’m sure a new company will be contracted but which company has not been announced yet.

I'm considering changing my February reservation from Caribbean Beach Resort to Pop, mostly due to reviews that are pretty negative about CBR being rundown. My main reason for either was the skyliner.

When I looked at the menu for the food court, it doesn't look like Pop has latte/cappuchino drinks. Is that correct? Is Art of Animation the best place to get those? How long would it take to walk to that food court? Thanks for everyone's help!

You are correct that Pop does not have latte/cappuccino machines.

The walk from one food court to the other is about 5 - 10 mins depending on speed of walking.

Thank you! I thought I remembered this. I usually use command hooks to hang a decoration, but was thinking this time I'd rather do magnets like on our cruises.

We were booked for one night at All Stars Sports next week before our vacation starts in earnest. I kept stalking for any availability at Pop, and lo and behold, it popped up last night!! We jumped on it immediately, because a trip to WDW just doesn't feel right without at least a night at Pop Century

Back from a split stay, POP and POFQ.

We were in the 50's building, so location wise for transportation was pretty good. I like it cold when I sleep, and I did not find the AC worked that great, or at least not as good as POFQ, and there are no ceiling fans in POP, but I was able to get a box fan from the Front Desk, and that was a life saver for me.

Edit to add:

Found the mattress on the regular queen bed to be hard as a rock. The mattress on the pull down bed was better. Had to switch with my wife, as it really bothered me the first night.
