A little disappointed this trip with POP. We had an
ECV this trip and found getting in and out of food court area very difficult unless we were together. Entering and leaving through the gift shop area was really difficult several times due to people blocking the very narrow entrance to the food court. If you’re inside food court and want to leave via one of the inside doors it can be difficult to reach the button to activate the door while seated on ECV. Also, we were in food court on Thursday. 12/12 at 1:50 pm standing in front of counter wanting to buy the chicken tenders…there were 2 women ahead of me the first woman had ordered. There were 5 people “moving around ” behind that counter and only the one guest had been able to order. At 2:00 pm we were still waiting to order and no one had even greeted us or acknowledged we were standing there at all. The woman who had ordered at 1:50 was still waiting. Meanwhile there were some people behind the counter who appeared to be preparing mobile orders…(I think). I could see stacks of paper plates on the counter but when I was finally allowed to order it was 2:09 pm. Way too long to be waiting with only 2 people in front of me. The woman directly in front of me just ordered fries! When I ordered the chicken tenders the server reached past the paper plates for a small cardboard box and dumped in fries and piled tenders right on top. I don’t see why they can’t at least use paper plates instead of the box especially when it’s not a carry out but you are going to sit at a table….service and quality has not changed since Covid ended.
On Wed. 12/11 we had gotten off Skyliner and walked over to the food court at AOA. There was a line to order but we were immediately greeted and told “be right with you”. Our fries and chicken tenders were served within 5 minutes on a real plate by friendly servers. There were only 2 servers behind the counter.
Housekeeping was also disappointing this trip. I had called house keeping and requested service in the mornings since my Mom is 92 and really wanted to be able to rest before dinner. We were gone each day by 8:30 am and returning between 3:30 to 4:30. Housekeeping came knocking on door 4:30 one day and 5:00 the next. My mother was resting the first time so I again requested that they come earlier. The housekeeper asked if she she could return later. I told her we would be leaving for dinner at 5:30. She never came back. The next time house keeper showed up at 5 as we’re getting ready for dinner.
The final time we returned from park at 4:30 and housekeeper was in room and said she would be right out we stood outside door waiting for almost 15 min. I understand that they obviously want to clean rooms where people are checking out first but it was really annoying how they ignored my request for an early cleaning the whole time we were there, however; on our last day house keeper was banging on door at 8:30 am wanting to know when we were leaving.
