I didn’t book a trip the end of Jan as I was afraid the Skyliner would closed for maintenance. Now I’m worried about when they will close the Skyliner for the maintenance as I’ve booked stays at POP for March and May.

Skyliner refurbishments are normally announced 6 months in advance. Your dates should be fine unless they announce the next refurbishment much later than they have historically.

Yes,very suprising.

Makes me think maybe it is something that hasn't been in the Food Court before and maybe they are waiting on some new equipment of some sort.

A Dole Whip Sation would be nice!

And I would love if they would bring back the Frozen Cokes as well!

Here is a post from @scrappinginontario about 5 pages back

"The next refurb is Mar 2025 - Feb 2026. It is soft goods so is anticipated to be things like towels, bedding, mattresses, painting, general room maintenance, etc. I’m guessing they may close down blocks of rooms at a time to complete the maintenance, similar to how they did the major room refurbishments in 2017 and 2018. Maintenance will take place during daytime hours to cause as little inconvenience as possible.

We visited twice during the major refurbishment and did not find it affected our trip at all. Not anticipating this one will either other than there will be less room availability which will make Pop more challenging to book.

We will keep this thread updated during the refurbishments and if needed, will create a separate thread purely to track and discuss the refurbishments."

Not quite sure what is meant by, 'it shouldn't take toooo long' but, the refurbishment is scheduled over a 1 year period from March 2025 - February 2026.

@Jasper&Bowie, do you know if all the food stations and seating are now open or, is there still one station and some of the seating being refurbished?

Sorry, I ended up getting the flu so didn't get a chance to check back in. All seating appeared to be open and only 1 food station was still closed.

No word yet what buildings are getting this refurb first, right? We are doing an impromptu trip next month and likely staying at Pop for the first time, and noticed a note about refurbishments happening. Just don't want to waste a room request.

No announcement has been made and I would anticipate nothing formal will ever be announced. Last time they just started blocking sections of rooms and as they were complete they moved to a new block. Anticipating the same.

It may be similar or different but last time they started with buildings 7 and 8 then worked around the resort in a clockwise direction.

We haven’t experienced any problems with the tv’s. Seems a shame to replace almost 3,000 tvs that are only 6 or 7 years old.

What updates would you like to see offered on the tv’s?

The only thing I watch on the TVs at WDW is the "Welcome XXXXX Family" when we enter the room.

I just returned from a 4 night stay at YC with my husband. On my last day there, I booked two rooms at Pop Century in August for my sister, me and our adult daughters. I'm hopeful that we'll get connecting rooms. The Bounce Back rate was nice -- a little less than the "stay longer save more" rate offered generally. I was at PC with a friend in December and am looking forward to my summer stay. I'll be watching this thread to see their approach to the refurbs so I can better predict which buildings might be closed as it would affect a building selection.

Some permits have been filed.

On January 23rd permits were filed for Buildings 1-3 with an end date of 8/28/26.
On February 3rd permit was filed for Building 7 with no end date so that sets it at 1 year.
