Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Definitely.

But if you do want to use Disney transport I suggest Disney Skyliner to Hollywood Studios/Bus from Hollywood Studios to Polynesian.

If you use the Magic Kingdom route you will have the "hassle" of going through MK Security before you can access the boat or Monorail.

Also if you use the Magic Kingdom route you will have two "waits"-one for the bus at POP and one for the Monorail or boat.

If you use the Hollywood Studios route, since Disney Skyliner is continuous load, you will only have one "wait"(the bus at Hollywood Studios).
Thanks for this reminder! We haven't been to WDW since the Skyliner opened so I forget how much easier it will now be to get to some of our dining reservations by taking the Skyliner to DHS then a bus from there. This is another great perk for staying at Pop!!

We did this from POP and it worked perfectly.

Does anyone know if the lockers located in the Petals Pool Bar building have to be accessed inside the fenced in pool area or can be accessed out of it? Depending on our room location, we‘re consider renting a locker to store or mugs and possible our swimming suites after an afternoon swim, before heading out to a park in the afternoon. We’d hate to find out we couldn’t access them when we return to resort. Also, anyone know how much those lockers cost to rent?

I'm not sure about the answer to your questions but my first question is, when are you going to be staying at Pop?

Petals Pool Bar is outside the pool fence, so it's accessible even when the pool is closed. I don't know if the lockers and laundry facility are impacted by the construction right now though.

We’re not going until July, so honesty wherever they put us. Seriously though we’re going to have 2 rooms, so our top, and probably only request will be connecting rooms. We only stayed at the POP once, in 2017, and were in the farthest wing of the 50’s building. Not a bad location but far enough that we didn’t use our refillable mugs as much as we woulda liked. Since we we will have free dinning all 5 of us will have refillable mugs this time. I read about storing mugs in lockers by the main building when leaving for a park for so you could refill when you return before heading back to your room and though that was a good idea. Of course I read about that after our trip. :rotfl:

As far as the Hippy Dippy Pool goes, we will probably swim in whatever pool is closest to our room, but my niece mentioned wanted to swim there our last trip, so we might want to try it once?

Thanks! Thought that was the case, but when someone said it might be behind the fence and not accessible after pool hours I got a little concerned.

I grabbed the info off of my MDE account online check-in for those who are interested. It's very straightforward and even shows the amount of money that will be put on a gift card for you. We have an 8 night reservation so our gift card (that I will *not* be taking :D) would be for $70.

I couldn't find it on my MDE app in December. I looked for it too. My phone/app was very glitchy too. Maybe that's why. Thanks for sharing :)

I wasnt able to get a preferred room for my free dining stay in september. Suggestions on where to Request? We will have a car but will usebthe skyliner a few times... Is it a Hike to the food court for non preferred rooms? Have only stay at the all stars. TIA!

We really like to request 60's lake view. Very close to the Skyliner, very short walk to the lobby/food court/buses and very peaceful.

I know this is probably sad, but I’ve done some research into CBR and DRR since they both appear to have Coke FreeStyle machines. Here are the locations of the QS locations from the SkyLiner station.

It is a longer walk to CBRs main building, but someone said it’s about a 5 minute walk to Spyglass Grill and the walk to the Riviera QS spot looks considerably shorter.

Where is the nearest free style coke machines? Im guessing CBR?

Closest to the resort is definitely CBR, but if your heading to Epcot the Riviera would be the shortest walk from the station. I quoted my post form earlier in the week showing where where the SkyLiner station and FreeStyle machines are located.

Hi All! Checking into Pop beginning of April. We have been there a few times and love it :)

Just wanted to see - is there any update on the pool refurb? Not sure if they started yet or if there was an approx end date. Thanks!

We're hearing it could reopen by April 1. I'd love to hear from anyone currently at Pop or recently returned if the refurb started and their experience of the scope of it.

I check into Pop tomorrow and I’ll try to post some details on the refurb.
Oh, Thanks! I hope you have a great trip! When you're checking things out, could you see if the kiddie pool is still open during the Hippy Dippy refurb?

According to the information on the Disney website, the kiddie pool is supposed to remain open during the Hippy Dippy refurbishment.

Hi everyone, I've stayed at Pop twice so far and have another trip planned for December. I'm super excited that it is a skyliner resort.
