Thank you for your response. How will I be notified if I have to stop at the Front Desk? If I don't hear anything, is it okay to assume I can go right ot my room?

As others have said, if you do online check-in you should get a text/email that either tells you your room number and lets you know you can go straight to your room; or you'll get a message indicating that your room isn't ready yet but they will notify you when it is; or you'll get a message that indicates you need to stop at the front desk. Sometimes the "your room is ready" text gets delayed for some reason. If you don't get a message by the time you arrive at the resort, check your MDE account to see if your room number is showing there. If it is, you can go straight to your room. If not, you'll need to stop at the front desk.

Arrived at Pop on Thursday - was supposed to arrive on Monday but had to switch due to flights and Hurricane Dorian. Received our exact room request location. LOVE THIS RESORT!!! Had put the request on the original booking and also sent a fax about a day or two before arriving.

Are all the rooms refurbished now at POP? haven't stayed there for a while and not sure of the room status. We are staying in a standard room and would love a king bed/ shower only and near the Generation Gap bridge. Is that even possible now?

All the rooms of Pop are done. Actually have been for about a year. Pop Century refurbishment thread should have photograph. You can also just Google images or check YouTube for videos to see what the rooms look like. There's another thread that is tracking which room at Pop has which refurbishment. You can use the DIS search feature for either one. Just search for Pop go through it may take a few pages but go through the pages and you can find either thread whichever one you need.

All rooms are refurbished. The rooms in the 60’s section best meet your requests.

King rooms are few and many are accessible rooms but you can request and see what happens.

What is the best section for being close to the Skyliner, would pool view from the 50s work?

We are now considering adding one day onto the beginning of our trip in May. Would I be able to call the (407) 939-6244 reservation number and have a CM add the day onto the beginning of our trip next year? Without getting a new reservation. This will be our first time staying at a Disney Resort, so not sure how everything works. Thank you.

Yep, that's what I did. I have a room only reservation and not a package, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

It’s best to call. If there is availability (which there hopefully will be this far in advance) they can add a night to your existing reservation.

We were there last Halloween and had fun at the resort. Costume parade and activities at the pool with Goofy and Pluto, trick or treating around the resort.

Pool view in '50s could be like my last stay in Building 2, which is a far walk from both Classic Hall and Skyliner. You're probably better off requesting by building. If you want a pool view in 50s, requesting Building 3 would put you closer to Skyliner. If you wanted to be even closer, there's actually Standard rooms (not preferred) in Buildings 4 & 5 (60s) which would put you near the bridge.

Due to the exorbitant price of flights my DH agreed to add on a day at POP! We are flying in a day earlier than we originally planned and I'm just all kinds of giddy!

Yes, 100% for kids. There may be some adult fun at Disney Springs or along the Boardwalk, I don't know as I was looking for activities for a preschooler. Otherwise, MNSSHP would be your best bet (albeit expensive).
