I'll be checking in for my first stay at Pop this Saturday. Super excited :)
That's awesome! If you're ever in the food court, could you check the bakery case for cheese and cherry/cheese danish? Checking at breakfast would be best, but anytime you're around would be fantastic! Have a great trip!

I'll definitely keep an eye out! :)

Rumor is Disney will have Doctors at each Skyliner Station prescribing Mickey-shaped Valium for Guests who request it!;):)

Oh, believe me, I will need to take a handful of Ativan (I don't leave home without it) to be able to ride this thing (at least the first few times) but I certainly wouldn't ever turn down free Valium...especially if it's Mickey shaped!!! :D

They for sure have cheese Danish. DS loves them.

I'm very confused. I'm trying to see which standard room area is closest to the buses and looking on the map the 90s area(rooms 9101 to 9472) near the 90s parking lot seems really close to the buses but everywhere i read it says 90s is one of the farthest away????

It really depends on your preference. 90’s are not too far from the buses, especially if you don’t mind walking through the parking lot. UPDATE: Sorry, my answer was wrong. @jcarwash is quite correct in that the 90’s section is building 8 at the far end of the group of 3 buildings, not the one closest to the buses.

The challenge for some (and I’ll count myself in this group) is that I prefer not to walk through a parking lot ensuring my backpack, child etc doesn’t accidentally bump or scratch a car so we take the path around the parking lot.

That’s not many more steps but for us, we tend to stop at the food court on our way to the parks and also in the way back to our room and this is where we find the walk further. The 90’s rooms are not as far as the 80’s or, building 2 of the 50’s but they are also not as close as some of the other rooms either. They’re kinda middle ground in my books.

Once the Skyliner opens the 90’s will be very far from that.

9101 to 9472 is actually one of the two 80's buildings. The one 90's building is building 8, 8101-8172, which is slightly further away than building 9, depending on your room location.

Building 8 / 90's can be close to the buses as you have the ability to cross the parking lot. The one time I stayed in the 90's building, what was relatively "far away" was the walk to Classic Hall to the Everything Pop! food court. It didn't help that it was a very cold November visit with temps in the 40s when I went to get coffee at 6am.

It also depends on which part of the 80s/90s you are in. We were near the "walkman" in the 80's section, facing the pool. Didn't feel like a bad walk at all. I can see how if you were in the other buildings at the end of the "T", it could seem way farther.

We were in building 10 right on the corner facing the parking lot and I thought that was super close to the buses

We were on the back side of building 7 one trip and we felt like it was VERY far from the buses and Classic Hall. In reality it may not have been compared to other resorts but for us and Pop we had stayed in much closer rooms. After staying in building 7, when we were placed there another trip I requested a room change which I’m thankful they were able to do.

I’m not scared! I booked Pop specifically for the Skyliner!
Really? But you don't know when it's going to open. I mean, "fall" could mean anything up to Thanksgiving and beyond. What if it isn't ready? I will be at Pop early September and I am not getting my hopes up. Do you have a backup in case there's no Skyliner for your dates? Or will Pop be good enough without the Skyliner?

Of course, right now the Skyliner is looking very ready and should even open by summer at the rate they are progressing. That's my original expectation and I very much hope it does.

We are booked for the week before Thanksgiving. We like Pop enough it is fine without the Skyliner, if it’s not open yet. But we are hoping it will be open by then!

People soup for sure! They’re crowded enough at smaller resorts with more than one.
While I love the hot tub, and we stayed at Poly once for just that reason....they close too early for us to really enjoy them. For this reason, the hot tubs are not attractive. We've had the same issue with the pools closing too early. Such a waste.
