Have you received your room assignment?

As others have mentioned, there aren’t any preferred rooms in the 90’s section (see map on pg 570) so you will not be placed there. Hopefully you will also be in the 50’s near your daughter.

All rooms at Pop are either refurbished or closed for refurbishment so you will get one of those rooms.

I agree-most of them are really nice young ladies and all get the "blame" for the few(and also Brazil gets the "blame" for all of the groups even if the group is from Argentina,etc.!lol).

It is amazing how quickly they can surround other Guests and engulf them!lol

We will arrive on Monday. Noise doesn't typically bother me at the resort, but the noise the 15s makes is another level of noise, And, yes, it goes on at all hours of the day and night. It also really bothers me when I see them laying around all over the parks, inside shops, on walkways, etc.

We will arrive on Monday. Noise doesn't typically bother me at the resort, but the noise the 15s makes is another level of noise, And, yes, it goes on at all hours of the day and night. It also really bothers me when I see them laying around all over the parks, inside shops, on walkways, etc.

We leave Monday and are in room 3160 - first floor back of 50’s and very very close to main building. The very one room on the 1st floor of build 3 back side. We have not heard a peep from anyone at all other than occasional sounds from Room above us - and I mean rare. It is a great room. Maybe you will get our room. The tour groups have not bothered us a bit. They haven’t blocked any sidewalks. They haven’t sat on floors in shops. Nothing like that have we seen on our two week trip. For the most part they are in pretty small groups too. Two big groups checked out of Pop today. We came back around 10 last night and a ton of the kids were in the food court along with a bunch of families. They were all acting perfectly fine. Maybe you will have our luck.

That's great to hear!! Maybe they are keeping them in smaller groups. Behavior is a lot easier to manage that way. I'm so glad you have had a great trip!

Thank you for this info. I was thinking of requesting this room or a similar one in the 70’s. I was wondering about the noise here. Sounds like a winner!

The one they were in had a queen and a murphy bed. Are all the rooms configured this way, or only some of them? I guess what I'm really asking is, do some of the rooms have two "normal" beds?

All rooms with two beds have a queen and a queen size murphy. The mattresses on both are the same so if comfort is the issue there shouldn't be a difference. In fact a few on here have liked the murphy better.

Fellow Texan here...we live about 40 miles northwest of you and leaving in a short 10 days for the POP. Traveling with DGD's and needed 2 rooms for their birthday celebration trip. Our budget couldn't swing our favorite WL so we're giving the POP a chance. Please let us know how your room requests turned out; we've requested connecting rooms since the girls mother will be traveling to Las Vegas after a few days in DW with us. Not crazy about the girls staying in a room by themselves after Mom departs so praying our "connecting rooms" request is granted. Have a magical vacation and looking forward to your report!

I believe the 15’s stay at all the value resorts.

I will say it’s really hit or miss though with the challenges. During our Jan
Trip we stayed in rooms that were back to back with 15’s and we never heard a peep out of them. We knew there was a large number of them at Pop with us as we’d see them walking around or gathering for their activities but never had a single second of trouble!!

Well darn lol. It’s only for a weekend and After hours goes until 1 am so maybe we would be okay.

That is so weird. I am first floor back of building 3 and haven’t heard a peep from your groups. Not a sound at all. We are on the very end closest to main building and building 4. How odd that our stays are so different. So sorry you are in the middle of them.

Perhaps because they were on top of me? We were second floor, they were third. When I told desk cm my room number, he turned and grabbed a piece of paper and said he’d notify security, & that they had ectra security due to the groups. Assuming I had the 4 loud kids directly above. Next night had a little of the music and tapping/dancing, but it stopped extremely quickly. No playing tag down the hallways that night, thank goodness.

A couple of updates. First: Room checks. In our 15 nights at Pop we have been in the room for 2 Room checks. First was a woman around 3pm She tapped lightly on the door. My teen daughter was sound asleep right by the door. I opened and she immediately saw her asleep and whispered she was here for a room check. I opened the door wide. She glanced in and apologized and went on her way. The second was today at 10:30. My daughter was in the shower. The man tapped lightly and said he was doing a security check. I told him she was in the shower. He said he wasn’t going in there. I did half open the barn door before I answered the door and my daughter had bathroom door locked. He came into the room and looked at all areas on the Room but only glanced at the area where the sink is. You could pretty much see the whole area from the reflection in the mirror He did not go in there. Both employees had what I believe is the housekeeping uniform of blue and white striped shirts.
Second the big tour groups. Last night I was at the Epcot bus stop with about 10 other people when two tour groups showed up to return to hotel. We were all nervous about being swarmed. While waiting a young man leading a group of 15’s started a song (Not a chant). The girls sang along and danced. It was actually fun to see them having so much fun. The other tour group did not respond with a song like often happens with the chants. When the bus finally arrived we were more nervous they would swarm but the young man seemed to tell all the kids to wait and he held them back until all the regular guests boarded. Then he boarded with the girls. He put each girl in a spot to maximize numbers that could get on the bus and at the same time keep space around the regular guests. I believe the second tour group didn’t fit on the bus. Then a woman with the group spoke into her microphone. I have no idea what she said - maybe plans for the next day or maybe to behave on the bus maybe both. The kids were quiet the whole bus ride. Seriously they barely talked. It was probably the quietest packed bus we ever rode. I would not hesitate to stay at Pop when it is tour group time again. I would not want my room near theirs but I would stay in the same resort.

That must be it. My daughter reminded me how loud the boys were on their school DC trip. That hotel kept the school kids far away from normal guests. The tour company also had security posted outside their doors to keep things under control. I think we had a family above us. At one point someone had a ball that was bouncing which was very loud. It was not at night so I didn’t care. I am glad Pop got them under better control for you.

Haven’t read the whole thread so I know this may have been discussed before, but does Pop have airline check in like the moderate & deluxe resorts have? Also, do they have bell service to get luggage delivered to the room when you arrive. We are coming by DME, but it’s a late flight so won’t have the luggage delivery.
