Going to Pop the end of Jan. We've never stayed before (1st trip for 2 out of 3 of my kids!), and I want to do window décor. Can anyone point me to the thread that shows ideas for this? I'd love some inspiration and ideas for how to decorate the windows without ever having seen them before.

Just booked for the end of Feb. This will be our first time staying at POP, although on our last trip to AoA we visited and ate in the food court. So excited to try a new resort. Does POP do evening outdoor movies?

Yes,all WDW Resorts do,but they are currently not doing them each night-they are "rotating" nights with AoA.

Are either of the beds up against the wall? I'm concerned about my son rolling off the bed - we have a bed rail at home, which I plan to bring (since we are driving)....was just hoping we could use the wall for the other side! THANKS!!

No, neither bed is against a wall. And they don't move. The resort has complimentary bed rails to use.

We've also found a pool noodle works great too. You can bring one or buy one in the gift shop.

I am looking for info on which pools they installed gates around. Anyone have any idea??? We were there in early Oct and Hippy Dippy had no fence. ANyone????

It's currently being installed at the Hippy Dippy pool. BIL said it looked about 90% complete last week.

UUGH, I hate that they are gating it off. I understand the reasons but enjoyed the open busy feel of that area. Anyone going to be able to post pics anytime soon??? Or know where there is one already???

We were there last week, and I didn't take any pictures. But I agree. I really hate the fencing.

as a mother to a 2 year old who likes to run away Im so happy for fences around pools!
I understand why anyone with young children appreciate fences. I just don't like the looks of it. It didn't quite feel the same while I was sitting near the pool. Plus the tables where we like to sit at, are outside of the pool area. So we were sitting at a table staring at the fence.

Just got back late last night from our first stay at POP. We were there from Dec. 19-28 so we had a nice long stay but we were still sad to leave. We absolutely loved the resort and hope to stay there again. We were in the 60's section building 5 on the 3rd floor lakeside and loved the location. It was so nice to be close to Classic Hall and the pool. We did not request that specific location but we're hoping to get it or 50's or 70's lakeside. Our only requests were adjoining rooms with one set of connecting rooms (we had four rooms total) and close to Classic Hall. We were absolutely thrilled to get our request and have such a great location.

We loved everything about POP. We thought the CM's there were great and we received top notch friendly service from everyone there. Concierge was amazing in replacing my niece's magic band when it got lost. They took the extra time to find an orange one (her original color) which meant a lot to her. They also went above and beyond in helping us sort out a mixup on our BOG preorder and dining credits. We had great housekeeping and found the CMs in the food court and gift shop to be very helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed the food in the food court. With 10 of us, we sampled quite a few of the menu items and the only one that was disappointing to any of us was the Sesame Chicken. I loved the chicken pot pie and the POP waffles. Of course, everyone loved the ice cream sandwiches and sundaes!

Bus transportation was amazing! We couldn't believe how efficient. We never had a long wait and whenever there was a long line, more buses were instantly there. We were very impressed.

We thought it was a fun resort with a great vibe. It was perfect for our family and we felt right at home. We were grateful for all the information and recommendations from the Dis! POP was a great choice for us!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad you had a great time. Your experience is making me even more exciting for our trip at the end of January.

I'm not quite to booking yet (hopefully by the end of the week), but in researching possible places to stay for my August visit (celebrating my birthday - slightly late, but within the 31 days of the event :) )! Since I'm celebrating my birthday, I think it would be super cool to request to stay in the 70s buildings since I was born in 71! :) I realize it's only a request, but maybe adding the reason on would help?

Has anyone else gone on a birthday celebration and requested to stay in "their" decade? Or is that too cheesy?
