The refrigerators in the rooms, are they actual refrigerators? Or just coolers? Like will it keep milk cold? How big are they? Can you fit a half gallon of milk in the fridge?

(Sorry so many questions, it's been years since i've stayed at POP)

They're small fridges, and they can fit a half gallon of milk I think. Ours, though, got too cold after a few days & started freezing things. I've read that there is a way to turn it down on the back, but didn't try that. They definitely keep stuff COLD!

My refrigerator was freezing my waters and soda the ywhere that cold. They are however very small, you could fit a half gallon but you' dhave to have it laying down sideways.

Yes, they are actual refrigerators. It will keep milk as cold as your fridge at home. And if you turn it up and put some water bottles in the back they will start to freeze.

Half gallons will definitely fit. Please see the pictures of the fridges on page #1 of this thread to get an idea.

Half gallons will stand up on the door and in the main section if you move the shelf up or remove it.

We've always stayed at POP. We are planning a week stay in late September for our family of 4 (kids are 11 and 7).

We like the different pools, how close we stay to the lobby and buses, food court options, how it never seems to be horribly crowded (we usually go in March), the atmosphere for the kids, and that they don't share buses with other resorts.

It would be nice to try another resort though. I've read up on all three All Stars but I would love any input from those that have experienced those and POP please. :)

We stayed at Music twice before trying Pop. While we enjoyed Music and had no complaints, Pop just felt like home to us, so we have no desire to return to the AllStars.

I've stayed at both Pop and ASsp, Pop for 2 nights and ASsp for one night during a split stay. I've done a couple of split stays and stay in a Mod or value the first night or two then bump up to deluxe. My opinions might be a little skewed since I do stay in the deluxes most of the time but here you go. I preferred ASsp to Pop. The room I had at Pop, while a good location right through the parking lot to the bus stop was old and musty and actually had mildew in the shower. It smelled like wet shoes, the food court was loud and crowded. ASsp is a small resort, while it shares buses occasionally with the other All Star resorts it's the first stop so no big deal. I had a room in the touchdown section, which is right next to the main lobby, gift shop, food court so it was a short walk to those. It was also a short walk, maybe 1 min to the parking lot. My room looked out over the football field where they show the movies so I could sit in my room and hear the movie. The room seemed in better shape then the one at Pop, same basic stuff as far as layout, size etc. If I were doing another value (which I won't) I wouldn't hesitate to stay at ASsp and wouldn't stay at Pop.

I briefly compared my experience on your other thread, but just remembered one of my favorite things about Pop is Landscape of Flavor across the bridge. We usually eat there more than Pop, and sometimes even jump on the Art bus from the parks to eat there.

We typically always stay at Pop, and actually stayed there the week before Christmas, but we booked a last minute trip for the 28- today and could only get ASSp. We noticed immediately that the rooms at ASSp are smaller, especially the vanity/sink area. We also stayed in the Touchdown section and enjoyed being close to the food court and buses, but there were huge groups of teenagers playing football until midnight each night. We personally prefer Pop. I like the larger rooms, no bus sharing and not as much noise! Most of this is just personal preference though.

Question for the Pop Century veterans. :) This is my husband's and my first stay at Pop, and I'm eligible for online check in now. I was going to go ahead and do that, but honestly - I have no idea which building to stay at on this property.

I'll say that we're really not picky. We've stayed at the All Star resorts during cheerleading competition time, and no one ever really bothers us in terms of noise or anything. And we're not afraid of walking a bit to get to a bus.

But what are your recommendations? Thoughts?

Thanks! :)
We always request 50's lake view. We found it is quieter, close to the lobby, has a nice quieter pool plus it is close to the bridge and AOA. 60's lake view may be relatively identical but we have not done that side yet. If you don't get your request at actual check in have them check other alternatives that may be similar.

We felt the same way. We enjoyed ASMu and have stayed there twice before our first stay at POP. I was worried we might miss ASMu, but POP totally won us over. We already plan to stay at POP for our next trip. I don't think there's anything wrong with All Stars. We just enjoyed POP more and though it had more of a resort feel to it.

My trip is just 30 days away, and I am looking forward to staying at Pop for my third time. This time I am coming with a friend who has never been to Disney World before. I have planned a whole lot of fun stuff.

This is our first stay at POP and we are planning to eat at the food court a day or two, any suggestions on the best entrées? We have always enjoyed "Create your own pasta" when staying at POR, didn't know if it was worth the walk to AOA.

We like the flatbreads at Pop. But it's only a short walk across the bridge to AofA for the make your own pasta which we really love too.

Ok... What about the "everything POP Sunday", anyone ever try it? The description looks crazy. Kids may love it. Any reviews??

We've never got the larger sundae, but my son loves the Brownie sundae, which is similar only it has three scoops of icecream instead of six. If you're on the dining plan, the Brownie sundae is an excellent use of a dessert or snack credit. :)
