I don't like to be too close to the pools either. I am a standard room girl with a lake view request. Each trip, we choose a different era. This trip we have requested on our ressie, connecting rooms my daughters family since they have some date night planned and the connecting door will keep us connected with the girls if we are in the room so we aren't making any other requests to give us the best chance of getting connecting rooms so we shall see where we end up! Anywhere will be wonderful! 27 days!!! WHOOP!
We have just under twice as many days as you to wait. It still seems so far off but I know it'll be here before we know it.

Lake View looked nice but I thought we could end up further away from the parking lots. (We often drive.) I guess that we'll see but I'm sure it will be fine either way.

On the bus from Pop to Disney Springs right now. Since when do they share buses with AoA?

And now the bus just shuddered to a stop at a light. Thankfully it started up again. Fingers crossed we get there tonight.

Oh wait, now we're going back to Pop. WTH???

I've only experienced this on the Magical Express from the Airport. As in, stopping at AoA before getting to POP. Can't remember this going to Dis Springs. Something new & unpleasant?

Never. Something weird about that. Even if there are only 2 people on a bus it doesn't stop at both AoA and POP, unless this is a new thing.

And that's extra weird. Maybe the bus driver is just out of it and didn't know what he/she was doing?

Any update on what went down with this? Hope you got there alright eventually.

So basically, the driver brought us back to Pop, still made no announcement, kinda mumbled 'you need to take another bus', and that was it. When asked, he said to just get in the Disney Springs line, which, as you can imagine, already had a queue.

By the time I got off the bus with my stroller, DS, etc, the line for the Springs bus was out of the chains (keep in mind there were all the other people from AoA, in addition to those who were already on the bus from Pop, and those who had been waiting for a bus after we started our 'adventure').

I told DH, no way we're getting in that line. It was almost 6:30 and we had no ADR'S as it was, so who knows what time we would have found dinner. I went to guest services and asked what the heck was going on. The three people, including the manager, were thoroughly confused. They said the only buses that should be shared are DME and the early bus they run to get ppl to character breakfasts, never any others. The manager offered a taxi voucher, but I declined as I didn't want to bring DS in a cab with no car seat. She then gave us 2 any time fast passes to use tomorrow. She also said she'd be calling transportation to let them know what happened.

A lady from transportation actually called me tonight to ask about our experience and she also stressed that shouldn't have happened, and, as I pointed out, the driver should have actually communicated about the situation.

We wound up eating dinner in surprisingly quiet food court, letting DS play in the arcade, and now I'm doing laundry (yay!).

That is bizarre. Just to clarify, you did initially board the bus at POP at the Disney Springs bus stop, correct?

What in the world happened with that bus? Wow.

By the way, does Pop decorate much for the holidays?

Absolutely. In fact, it was at the stop when we walked up. Silly me for thinking we were going to have a super quick ride!

Still confused about it. Other than that, we've had good luck with the buses so far. It's just a pain to have to schlep the stroller on and off, collapse it, etc, but that's on us.

There are some decorations for fall/Halloween but nothing that would knock you over. They already have Christmas merchandise in the gift shop, lol. I know they do a lot more decorating for Christmas.

So odd. Maybe it was a new driver who had something with the bus and then panicked?

Absolutely. In fact, it was at the stop when we walked up. Silly me for thinking we were going to have a super quick ride!
I'm going to just guess that the driver simply messed up (big time), first by going to AoA for no reason, then heading back to POP, then by acting strangely after the entire incident.

8 more hours til our flight to Disney... 14 hrs and we'LL be at Pop!!!

Have an AMAZING trip! Please come back and let us know if you got your room requests. how you loved POP and any "must do", "must try" or "must haves" and all your favorites! You know what I mean
