Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

I think you want to request four adjacent rooms. Adjacent means side-by-side (beside each other), while adjoining can be confused for "joined/connected" (like with a door).

So I'd say you want four adjacent rooms (all in a row), if possible, with two of them being connected (adjoined).

In Disney Speak, adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to or close to one another. Connecting rooms are right next to one another with an interior door connecting them. So @PirateD needs to request that all 4 rooms be adjoining with 2 of them connecting. Just like @SPOERLX3 stated above. :thumbsup2

I know I've seen it somewhere, probably on this thread, but I just can't find it... Can anyone tell me what drinks are available in the the Food Court for the refillable mugs? Like what sodas, teas, and coffee?

Thanks! That's timely advice! I just got off the phone with Disney support for MDE. I asked them to transfer me so I could check on our room request, but my CM was so efficient that they just called the agent and checked on it for me and said that it was noted that we were traveling together on the reservation and that the resort would try to place us as close together as possible. The CM had been so helpful making sure that we were linked for our FP+ window tonight that I just accepted it. I will try back again this week to see if I can get the request exactly how we want it. I may end up having to call 10 times, @SPOERLX3! o_O The CM tonight was really great getting everyone's accounts set tonight so no complaints there!! Hoping for some pixie dust on my FP+! It's been a miserable Monday so I'm hoping my luck changes and we get some Disney Magic!

You have plenty of time to get those 10 calls in :rotfl:. But that time will FLY BY. I can't believe we are only 28 days away from our trip:dancer:. Hopefully it won't take you 10 times and that the next CM can list it exactly how you need/want it.:tink:Pixie dust for a magical day today!

Thanks for your encouraging words! We made call #3 today and got the same response (that we are listed for adjoining and that means the same as connecting). Oh, well! At least we have it down for adjoining! :thumbsup2 We will try again in couple of weeks!

I can't believe that we are at the 60 day mark! Our FP booking went very well with little problems so I'm feeling good about that today! It's a relief to have crossed that hurdle with no major issues!

How exciting that you are down to 28 days! It will be fun to hear about your stay at POP! :goodvibes

I'm sure this has been answered before and I apologize in advance. How does one go about requesting to be in a specific section at Pop? I want to face the courtyard area of the 70s section. (The foosball area, basically. lol)

You will get someone that knows the difference between connecting rooms....eventually :(
If all else fails, you can ask at the front desk when you get there.

Getting the FP+ bookings out of the way is a great relief! Hope you got everything you wanted!

60 days will fly by!!! It is like I closed my eyes and opened them and we are at 28 days! Magic Bands should be here soon along with the rest of our Mickey mail. We LOVE POP!

Next time you call, make your first question "Can you please tell me what the difference is between connecting rooms and adjoining rooms". You will know right away if you get an experienced agent. :rotfl:

I guess this is a little offtopic but it's nearby to Pop... ;)
Anyone know if AoA still does the artist classes during the day? and would that be happening during the Christmas season? We have like 1.5-2 days of no parks, and we're at Pop so it would be a nice little walk and a FUN time if it's still going on! Thanks!
(if it's not, we'll just have to get in on it at DHS!)

It's my understanding the animation classes at DHS are gone now. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I didn't know they even had that option at AoA

Call the Main Reservations line and add those requests to your reservation. This can be done any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days out.

My goodness the lack of knowledge of some of the phone CMs is mind boggling! Trust me, to the room assigners adjoining means close to/near and connecting means right next to each other with an interior door. I promise one of these times you will get a CM that knows what they're doing.

Lol! I like that idea!

FP bookings went better than I thought it would and we got everything we wanted. I was able to even move our 7DMT up just now so we have it at the perfect time!

Thanks for your confirmation on this! I always trust my Dis friends more than anyone else when it comes to Disney! I will keep trying and know we will eventually get there. :thumbsup2

that would be a double bummer but hey that's why I asked here! I know that the DIS crew knows their stuff! Thanks for the input!!

The drawing classes are definitely still at Art of Animation though! The December recreation guide hasn't been released yet, but I would imagine the class will continue over the busy Christmas season! :)

Thank you !! That is honestly almost better because of our down time and proximity to AoA woohoo! :) Should I call there to find out more about it? I seriously just randomly came across the fact that it existed, and I think at some point I did know about DHS but probably shut it out of my head (like I'm trying to do with Jedi Training Academy :rolleyes1:charac2:)

Just sent you a PM! :)

I'd like to know this too. In other words, what do they have besides Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite?

I honestly can't remember exactly what they offered, but I found this when I googled:
"Coca-Cola products offered, including Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Fanta Orange, Barq’s Root Beer, HiC Punch, Minute Maid Lemonade, Powerade."

I know they also have coffee, hot chocolate, tea bags for hot tea, hot water and the Gold Peak Tea with several option, my favorite is the white tea citrus but all of them are good. They used to have the icee's but those have been gone for a while :sad1:
