Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

We rescheduled our June 1-9 trip to October!

We will be at Pop 10/20-10/25 in a preferred pool room. I am hoping the preferred pool room will be the best of both worlds between the lobby and skyliner!

Would they be running the Skyliner if the parks are not open? It’s a great way to get to other resorts though too. Hard to tell if they’ll open it before the parks or not since it’s hours are normally based around park hours.

My guess would be no. I don’t think they want to encourage resort hopping if parks aren’t even open.

Is there anyone on this thread who was at Pop after Mar 15 when the parks closed and that next week until the resorts closed? If so, was the Skyliner running?

I don’t think the answer to this question would be any indication of what they might do when resorts finally open. So much has changed over the last few months.

If restaurants are operating at lower capacity, I’d imagine they wouldn’t want to encourage resort hopping or offering skyliner transportation, at least until parks open or restaurants are operating at full capacity.

We don’t really know. What we do know is the day Pop closed the Hippy Dippy pool was still closed for renovations.

Not as optimistic about our June 15-22 trip now but...I did book us for July 9-15. With Disney saying they would be doing soft openings I am definitely more hopeful for this trip and would like to add day s

Is the Hippy Dippy Pool considered a "feature pool"? Apparently those are going to be closed, but the "leisure pools" are open. Is the Bowling Pin Pool considered a "leisure pool"?

Feature Pool and Leisure Pool are terms I have only ever seen used for Moderates and Deluxes.

But Hippy Dippy is considered the "main" Pool at POP so if they were to only open one Pool at POP that would most likely be it.

But at this time we don't even know if POP itself will be open.

Time will tell.

Nothing yet-I personally think POP will open-just a "feeling".

I hope for your sake they are @WEDWDW! I can understand why they are opening less resorts prior to the parks opening but I would be (sadly) shocked if Pop was not included by July 11th.

Well with today's news I guess we won't be upgraded to the Grand Floridian after all lol,but so GROOVY to get confirmation that POP will be one of the opening Resorts!

Can't wait!

It was not announced but there are CMs recalled so many are speculating that it could be one of the first of WDW to open when they do decide to open their own hotels

The cast mates from pop have been called back to work, but none knows if pop is opening or if they will be stationed at other resorts.

Exactly. I’m not assuming anything at this point, but the lack of housekeeping makes me think they’re not opening.
