That's happening to me as well. I remember reading awhile back that someone phoned to ask a CM about it and both requests were visible on the CM's end so I'm guessing yet another lovely MDE glitch.

Maybe they should hire DH so he can’t fix their horrible system. (He’s a software engineer)

I agree! I coordinated getting a BOG dinner this morning with another DISer and of course MDE didn't want to work so someone else took it. I was already at the page where they ask for your credit card and then it said Stitch ate my page. I'm a little confused why I wasn't able to get the ADR, but someone else could. I have 54 more days to try and get a BOG ADR!!

Yeah, I stayed at AKL and then Pop six months later... liked Pop better overall. AKL has great restaurants, but I think I'd rather just Lyft over there for the meals and to see some animals and then come back home to Pop!

Huh weird. We probably won't go back there anyway because our goal is to try a new resort each time we visit. This will be our 3rd year in a row and I'm thinking DH is about ready for a break from DW for awhile. I think he either wants to try DL or go somewhere else. We go other places on vacation and he always has fun once we get to DW, but oh well lol.

Ive never been to Disneyland but would like to try it. My daughter likes it, says its different because everything is connected, not all spread out like WDW and you can stay right there, like across the street.

We were going to go last year for our 1 year anniversary, but the plane tickets to DW were so much cheaper (by about $600). We are thinking about driving to Seattle, driving down the coast, and stopping at DL for one or two days then driving home. It would be cheaper than flying and we would get to see the West coast!

Try DL for sure!! I’m going back for my 11th trip in November. I absolutely love the simplicity of vacationing there compared to WDW!

It seems much easier than a DW vacation. I've heard some of the classics are better at DL, too. I love Space Mountain so the idea of an even better SM is awesome! We will get there eventually when we get enough courage to drive that far lol.

I think most estimates are mid-summer. You should be fine.

I have already decided that I'm going and getting a dole whip before I even go to my room. As soon as we check in we will get dole whip then head to our rooms.

IMHO not a fan of this addition, part of the tradition of getting a Dole Whip was having to go to either MKP or Poly to get it.. If it becomes a common item offered in too many locations then it will no longer be special..

Just sharing my two cents on this resort...

I stayed here for the first time in November 2017, it was an overall good experience. I had requested a renovated room for just two adults, but we did not get one. It was my mom and I, so we wanted two beds, not sure if that may have factored into the equation. The older room we had was ok, but the bathroom seemed very dated. Everything was clean. I'd definitely come back.

I stayed at All Star Sports in December 2017 for two nights, that place is as bad as people say on Yelp. It was out of control with the school groups, COMPLETELY different from Pop which was so quiet. I did have a room facing a wooded area, but the second night I had some rowdy adults outside my room. The room here had a funky odor. I'd try to avoid this hotel if possible.

I don't plan my trips here too far in advance, so I just take what I can get with the All Stars.

I am about a 3 hour drive from WDW, so when I come it's only for maybe 2-3 nights. If I was doing more than that I'd probably stay off property in a place with a W/D.

You can also get a Captain’s Pineapple (dole whip and rum) over at the Art of Animation pool bar. Or at least you could when we were there in August.

We'll be staying at POP for the first time at the end of February. I requested a refurbed room in building 6, looks like they should be pretty finished there by then. Is this an okay location? We are booked in a standard room if that matters.

We are also going at the end of February and I just called today to add requests (it wasn’t working online). I put 70s section with highest floor. I also put the numbers for two rooms that I liked the most. We have a standard room booked also.

I wouldn’t count on the refurbishments being completed by mid-summer. The first building was closed early in March (10 months ago) and they are not yet 50% done. Based on how long the refurbs have been taking, I can’t see everything being completed in 7-8 more months. Looking more like 10-12 months unless they unexpectedly speed up.

I like the location you’ve chosen and by the end of Feb building 6 will hopefully be completed.

There is an active post dedicated to the Pop refurbishments. Post 2 of that thread is kept updated with all the refurbishment info you could hopefully want.

I prefer the dole whip being available at POP instead of the tie dyed cheesecake, I wouldn't be sad if they got rid of that.
