We were given a ground floor king room, preferred pool view. We are very happy with it. Worked out great!

Quick question did you do the online check in? And when and how did you make a request for a room with a king bed?

Yes, we did online check-in. I am a member of Touring Plans, and used their room fax request service.

Has anyone tried watching the new Hollywood Studios fireworks show from the Generation Gap bridge (the show that just debuted a few days ago)? I really enjoyed watching the previous show from that bridge. However, since the new show has less fireworks and more projections (which we wouldn't see from Pop Century), I'm wondering if it's still worth seeing?

Hi! I am so excited to return to Pop Century for our next vacation. We last went in 2013 for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Almost 3 years later and she still talks about that trip. We are going for her 6th birthday at the end of September and can't wait. This will be our youngest's first trip to WDW. I can't wait to see her face when she meets the characters. We have been watching youtube videos and she gets so happy when she see them on the tv. This will be our first time flying with a toddler (her second vacation of any sort) so I am nervous about that.

T-62 Days and Counting Down!!! Not excited at all......NOT!! Is it too soon to pack?? You would think after staying here every year since it opened we would not be so excited but here we are the most excited to come "home" to Pop as ever. Will August 23rd and a 5am (2am to us!!) landing please come faster!!

Disney starts running buses "AROUND" 6:30 AM to cover early ADRs/Tours.

Here are "first bus times" from one morning during a stay at All-Star Sports.

("First bus time" for Magic Kingdom.)

(In this picture the Magic Kingdom time is for the 3rd MK bus of the day,the other 3 Parks are "first bus times".)

The new Star Wars fireworks from Pop Century are still worth watching. There was only a short time with no aerials while the show emphasized the projections.
You aren't seeing the whole show, of course. But, if you are back from the parks early and want to see some big fireworks in a quiet place without crowds, it's cool. Better than the small town fireworks I get at home.

We arrive on the 23rd also! Just me and DD, right before she starts her senior year in high school (yikes, where does the time go?). If I'm correct, we can make fast passes on Friday!
