Is that from the Tambu Lounge? All the times I've been to the Polynesian I always do Kona Cafe, but that food looks great.

Yes it is. We weren't able to even get on the walk-in list, so we headed to Tambu Lounge - SOOOOOO worth it!

I asked at the reception desk and was told 45 minutes prior to park open, though we didn't use it to test that info. We ended up walking to MK, which I know isn't for everyone.

Not sure when the boat starts running, but wanted to also suggest walking to Grand Floridian to catch the resort monorail to avoid the parking lot/Uber crowd going thru security at TTC at rope drop. It’s not much further than TTC if you’re on the west side of the property. We did this last Friday and there was no one waiting to go thru security at GF.

Checked into Poly this morning. Room was ready at 8:30am! The new rooms are beautiful. We had breakfast at Captain Cooks. About to head to The Boathouse for lunch.

The walkway comes in right next to the resort launch boat docks, so you merge in with the people getting off of the resort boats and go through security there.

I read that Pago Pago closed for soft goods refurbishment today, and I remember lots of late August/early September lake view DVC reservations (so, Moorea) being moved for the refurbishment. Do we know when Pago Pago will reopen or Tokelau will close? I am so curious to see how the studios look post-refurb.

Someone can probably explain it better than me, but if I understand correctly it is some kind of Cast Member scavenger hunt activity.

Speaking of the MK walkway - one thing I noted during my stay on my morning run was that the EWP canal bridge was closed until roughly 7:30am every day (MK opened at 9am). On prior stays this year it opened around 6:30am and those were MK 8am opening days.

So for the early morning running crowd, you can make it to the canal but then need to turn around if it’s more than 1.5 hours before MK opening.

We are in a standard view studio September 6-12. We just got the email last Friday that we were being moved. I guess I am okay with it- as long as I get a balcony. I am already giving up a second bathroom and a microwave, and all DVC villas have a balcony. We shall see...
