Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

We love the hotel- where is the deluxe studio located and is the tower like bay lake- a different part of area. Looking to be near hotel and monorail entrance. Worried tower will be further away.
The 3 Building that house the older Original Deluxe Studios are located toward the TTC and the new Island Tower is located toward the GF. The distances between either the Island Tower or the Deluxe Studios to the GCH are very similar.

I haven’t seen the layout. I know when we stayed at BLT- felt to far from the main resort. Curious how far. 5 min is not bad

I’m going soon to the new poly tower and will be driving. Do we go to the main gate when we first arrive? If we do is the parking lot connected so we can park in front of the tower? I also need to request guard rails when we get there should I do that in the main poly lobby or is there someone to talk to in the tower?

If you have an active MB you may be able to enter the gate at the Island tower. It is not an attended entrance with a Guard to let you in.

There are CMs in the main lobby of the Island Tower with Tablets to assist guests. And @GADisneyDad14 confirmed that the CMs can assist with verifying your MBs will work to access your room.

One more question: when was the last refurb for the deluxe studio and the main resort?
Fall of 2021 for the DVC units to include the new Murphy beds from Inovabed, and the Summer 2021 for the resort rooms with the Moana theming.

We've just finished a split stay at the Poly and BLT. I would say the tower at Poly is as far from the main building as BLT, maybe even further if you were using the skybridge.

This help- not sure what I will do. We plan to use monorail and captain cooks and pool on resort side. I need to see which is most important. It is cheaper the tower the 2 nights I want.

Do you have the dining plan? Food is much better at the Poly Tower btw, but QS credits are a better value at CC.

Hi! Can anyone give feedback on the current view we might get if I book a deluxe studio, resort view in the Tower? I'm concerned we may be overlooking a muddy construction site. I will book Preferred, if so and may just have to convince myself that I might as well book go ahead and book TPV . . .

Resort view will be on the lower floors looking at the parking lot, the monorail, and the construction on Floridian Way.
Preferred view will mostly be the same view, but on the higher floors... or, if you are lucky, looking at the pool.
Theme Park view (and premium view for Duo studios) will be looking at the lagoon, or on the north end looking at VGF.

Some people have said that some of the TPV rooms have a nice view of the lagoon, but not the best view towards the Magic Kingdom.
It is possible that DVC may change up the categories of some of the rooms for this reason, but I would not count on it.

Well, looks like I will be spending more $$ for TPV! Thanks for the info!

How much time will you actually be in the room during the day time hours? After dark you can't see the construction area around Floridian Way. Plus you have 2 lovely Terrace Gardens that overlook the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Suggestions please.
We are party of 3, and have stayed at poly resort.
Looking at june- for 2 nights. Planning on swimming - 1 park day. The cheapest rate is a studio- then tower- then resort view at the hotel.
