Is that typical for October too? Or do they shrink the hours a little after Summer? Thx

They can “shrink” a lot unfortunately. Granted this kind of stuff can change, but these were the Lava Pool Hours Columbus Day weekend in 2017:

I am not exactly sure when they switch to fall hours - I assume sometime in Sept - but I’m sure someone else may know exactly.

Hours do tend to change a couple of times during the seasons, so keep an eye out.

If you mean 3415 in the Tuvalu longhouse, then it is an OK view. Note that it can be quite loud in this building with noise from the nightly sounds at Luau Cove.

Note: you should never select just a single room and just a caution that the next group of rooms on that floor / side of Tuvalu look across at the Fiji longhouse. So not a good view if you get near 3415 but not that exact room.

What would be your pick for a standard room?

Hi guys! For those that have stayed CL recently, what type of evening apps are offered? Is it mainly pork/fish type stuff? Do they have anything other than PB&J for the kids? I see there’s a lot of peanut/tree nut stuff out. How are they with kids allergies? Thank you!

When we were there 2 weeks ago they had a cold noodle salad (it had peas, sesame seeds and tomatoes in it - very good), a chicken dish (It was also very good but I don't remember what it was called). I don't remember what else but I don't think there was any pork or fish. I'll ask DH and see if he remembers. I'm not sure how they handle allergies, but yes there was nuts/peanut sauce/pbj out at all the offerings (except BF I think).

Do you know of the best longhouse that has decent standard views not too far from the main lobby? We will have a toddler and stroller.

While I will never say best. I would suggest Aotearoa (old name Tahiti ) Longhouse to be close the the GCH with some great "Standard" views of the Monorails. Next up would be the Rarotonga Longhouse, slightly farther away from the GCH but it does have a number of King bed rooms if you only have one small toddler.

Note: Second Floor rooms do not have a balcony.

ETA: Correct the name of the Fiji Longhouse to be the correct name Aotearoa.
