The "kitchenette" in the deluxe studio suite - standard view rooms pictures currently show a standard coffee maker. Is this still current? or do they have keurig's now? Thanks.

DVC generally have a standard coffee maker. I cannot think of any DVC units with pod makers.

Hi - yes our plan is 9/30-10/8 as of now as DD wants to get in on the MNSSHP. Those dates may change though if its more likely to get a discount in October. Do Poly CL TPV rooms generally get excluded from discounts?

No, they are not excluded from discounts but like with all resorts/room categories, the "number of rooms allocated to this offer is limited" disclaimer does apply. FWIW, all of the Poly CL trips in my signature were booked using some form of room only discount, be it a general public or AP discount. Sometimes you may have to play with a day or two here or there, but it depends. Some of mine were booked well in advance and some as close as 60 days out.

I'm not sure what to think of the first week of October - F&W is in full gear by that point. This year those dates fall around some religious holidays and some common fall break dates for some and I found availability pretty darn limited when I was searching back in August (not just Poly, all of WDW), but this was mainly my fault for booking late. All of that just points to being prepared to book well in advance, watch the discounts when they come out, etc. Scouts motto - be prepared. ;-)

A group of 9 of us will be staying for the first time at Poly. We are booked for Studio and one room is in need of handicap accessible room. Do any of the floors above first floor have rooms that a motorize scooter can get to? Any suggestions on which studio room to request?

Thank you so much! I'm still a little less than 365 days out so we have lots of notice there. :rotfl: I'm just getting anxious reading about Hurricane Matthew and its reminder that even next year we're still traveling in Hurricane season and every year we either fly into snowstorms, tropical storms and hurricanes and I'm about over it already. :sad2:

Lol, yes, that's the risk with the late summer down there for sure. FWIW, I really like the early Sept, Labor Day to F&W travel window if that's a possibility. You can still catch MNSSHP (so long as it starts early in the month like it did this year) and the crowds are manageable. It's hot and the risk of big storms is up there, but it's probably my favorite time of year to go!

We went for my birthday a few years ago (9/5) and it was TOO hot for my liking. There were days I stood in place and within minutes it felt like my sneakers melted to the ground. LOL.

Just doing my room requests....I am considering just requesting full balcony and seeing where that puts me....is that risky or should I request a longhouse? my main priority is to not be ground floor .

In addition to online check in I would call in room requests. When we got to Poly they said we did not have any requests on file, eventhough I had requested 3rd floor as my only request.

I am thinking this will be my only request as well, can I ask what longhouse you were put in??

Upper floor is my only request for my stay in November. Figured this way I won't be disappointed if I don't get the longhouse I've requested.

Staying for the first time at the Poly GV CL from Jan. 29- Feb.2! I have booked the Poly a couple of times but then switched to the BWI or GF for one reason or another but we got a really nice price at the Poly this time so I am going to stay put and knock this Deluxe hotel off my bucket list. Boy do I have a lot of reading to do on the Poly:)

We may only get to stay 2 or 3 nights at the Poly our upcoming trip :( . We planned to stay all our days there but we were planning on a deal from a travel agent and the price is way higher than the past deals we have gotten. The prices just keep going up. I'm so disappointed :( . We planned going at the end of July.

I'm sorry you aren't able to spend all of your nights at the Poly, but 2 or 3 nights will still make for a great Poly visit ;).

If a balcony takes priority over location/longhouse, I'd make the balcony your first request. You can put a longhouse as your second request, but at least the room assigner will know what's most important to you and assign accordingly (if possible) :).

Congrats on booking your first Poly stay! Enjoy the planning :wizard:.

Thanks @mickeynut1 I really dont want ground floor at all...makes me nervous for some reason....so want balcony! Would I ruin my chances of asking for a longhouse too?? Last time we went years ago...I requested tokaleu and loved it!!

You're welcome! I don't think requesting a longhouse would ruin your chances, but I would put it second after 3rd floor balcony. Also keep in mind that if you aren't assigned a 3rd floor room, you can always ask if one is available. Its not always possible to change, but Disney does its best to accommodate guests :).

Did you get prices for July, 2017? If you don't mind me asking, what is the price/night?

Even if you only stay at the Poly for two or three nights it's better than not staying there at all.

We are staying at the Poly for only one night. There was a cancelllation for the Bungalow so we grabbed it. We are DVC members and this was a lot of points, but I figure we will never get a chance to stay there again.
Then we go to the Boardwalk for one night and finally the Grand Floridian for two nights.
I'm not crazy about the resort hopping, but this was a last-minute planned trip so I am happy with the resorts that we got. :dance3:

if you go to www.tikimanpages.com Steve has each longhouse by floor maps. You can see where the HA rooms are.

The floorpans also show which rooms are connecting.

Also there are elevators in each building and all floors have a balcony or patio :)

Came back to add one. Sorry so large but gives you idea.
