Sweet!I hope you will take lots of pics to share here on the Dis. I've never stayed in Tonga.
Welcome to the Dis.
Hope you have a great stay and enjoy the Poly.
Awesome, thanks for sharing.
I agree!
Have a great trip and enjoy your first Poly stay.
Have a great trip.
This will be our first stay at Poly as well. When I did online check-in I just did not check the box to receive the text (which we haven't received the last 3 trips even when I did check it). I figured we would just go right to the desk to check-in and hopefully get our leis. We also have to link a different credit card to my Mom's magic band room account so we have to make the trip to the front desk anyways.Yay! Online check-in opened up today for our September trip!!! now quick...if we do online check-in will it have ANY negative impact on our likelihood of getting a room NEAR/adjoining our parents as we requested through DVC member services? We are both staying in villas...my parents on rented points and us on our own points. My parents are arriving much earlier than us (they fly in around 10am and we won't arrive by car until 3pm). I had called member services a few months ago to "link" our reservations and request our rooms be as near as possible. Is it ok for us to both online check in? Should I not make ANY other requests (we'd actually like to be near the parking lot or near the TTC)?
Also, we've never stayed at Poly so we'd like the whole experince, so even if they text us with our room assignment (which has to-date NEVER happened for us) can we still go to the desk for the whole leis and Aloha experience??
Something to consider about the refillable mugs, my wife and I still use ours from a 2012 trip as travel mugs. Helps offset the cost of new ones for me and makes the price more reasonable.
One question about these though, isn't there a wait time now between fills and if so how long is it?
Yes, it's been reported on Tikiman Pages that guests are permitted on the beach for Wishes but they are cleared from the area immediately following.Does anyone know if they allow people on the beach to watch fireworks at night? I heard different rumours. Thanks
Hi, everybody! DH and I had a trip planned for next month and were going to experience our very first stay at Poly. However, due to scheduling constraints, we had to cancel a few months ago, which was heartbreaking. DH recently gave the thumbs up to start planning a trip in fall of 2017, so we're headed to Poly and will be staying in a studio. I can't wait to learn more about this beautiful resort that's been on my bucket list for who-knows-how-long, and to follow along with those of you who have impending visits.

I just booked our Poly CL vacation! Exactly 200 days to go!![]()
Couple questions...
Do they still give out leis when you check in? What if you get the text to go right to your room?
Debating on the refillable mug... Is there anywhere else to fill up besides The main building? What about coffee?
Thanks for the infoEarlier this month DH got the Shrunken Zombie Head, it was $25. My hippopotomaitai was slightly less ($18 maybe?)
No there are no kings on the marina side. Only facing GF. I had asked to be put in a queen room instead a few years ago when my HD and I traveled alone so that I could be facing the marina. The view was stunning!Does anyone know if Fiji has King rooms facing the marina? I've seen conflicting information online saying only the GF side has King rooms.
Did you get this before or after breakfast? What is the fastest way to eat? I read from another post that Cook's can take awhile? Did you find that to be true too? Trying to decide if we should pack stuff to eat in our room, or there is time to eat something larger and still make rope drop.Hope so too!
I'm a major coffee person. If your husband likes really good, strong coffee, I recommend the coffee at Kona Island on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House. Last summer a CM recommended that I add a shot of espresso to their Kona Blend coffee. Delicious. That became my daily fix
(**would not be part of the refillable mug program.)
