Apparently Disney now offer a service were you can transfer photos from you digi camera - and it is made into a DVD with WDW clips, Characters and Disney Music.

Anyone heard of it, or tried it - if so what are the costs and is it worth it.

Thanx :wave2:

Haven't heard of it yet - but it is a great idea. I do the same myself - usually using Wishes music from the CD.

I bet this is expensive, if it is currently happening. Odd though we haven't heard anything about it. Where did you find out about it?

I was skipping thru the DIS website and stumbled across it - sounds fab doesn't it !
If it said starting spring 2005 -it should be up and running now though but the link that was posted says 'coming soon' - I wonder how recent that is - might e-mail WDW for answer

NE Disney -

What software do you use? I have some but its a pain to use so I dont use it as often as I wish I could.

Thanks!

I'll have to check the name of it for you - it's whatever software came with my HP DVD-writer. It's a little clunky, but it works.

I just saw this today and I am in awe! I can't wait to get one! Right now, they are $49.95 for one and $19.95 for each additional. ("for a limited time"). I wonder how long that will last.... that makes it only $30, which isn't terrible!

After "the limited time" it will be $69.95 for the first... won't get one then.

This sounds great but I'll bet it costs a small fortune!

Try MovieMaker!! It's great and you already have it if you own Windows XP! After our trip last June, I took about 400 digital pics and a couple hours worth of video (edited down) and set it to different Disney music. The final product was an 18-minute movie saved to a DVD. It's a wonderful keepsake and a joy to show to our Disney friends! :earsgirl:

It's really not too expensive for how it looks the finished product will turn out! Did you view the sample online? I (and others, as posted earlier) am curious as to whether you can put a still photo over some video. Also, do you know where to find WDW footage, etc... I've never tried Movie Maker!

I looked at this and it is fantastic. These are the types of souvineers I spend my money on. I have enough knick knacks, thanks!

As for movie maker I am interested but with this you can put your photopass pictures on the movie for free and add some of the professional Disney pics they have of the fireworks and major icons and it also has some neat character interactions!

I am soooo wanting to get one of these!

This is neat! Will definitely be checking into this when we return. Thanks for posting this info.

I ordered one and I am waiting for it to arrive. It should be here any day so I will let you guys know how it turns, quality etc. You can also use your photo pass pcitures also. It was pretty simple to make but I did have some issues with some of my pictures not uploading correctly but when they saw it they emailed me and fixed it.

Oh my goodness that looks way to cool.

I watched the little video and was very impressed. It was so Magical.

I think that this looks great. it is not the same quality that you would get if you made it yourself using the "moviemaker" that comes with xp, as others were saying. it includes other footage of disney, like video of the resort you stayed at, video clips of the characters, etc.

for $49, it is not bad. but, i'm not sure that i would pay the $69 for it that they want to charge when it does not have the limited deal anymore.

I uploaded all my photos on there this week and the sample looks cool, I'll probably order it for my BF for xmas :)

this looks like a super souvineer!!! will be interested in finding out how you all like the ones you ordered!!!! :goodvibes

Does anyone know where to see the sampler of this??? I tried the link which explains everything but didn't get a sneak preview?? :sad2:
