Disney's Oak Trail golf

DH loves golf and is hoping to get atleast one round in next year on our ticket it mentions entrance to Disney's Oak Trail golf! Do you still have to pre book a tee time? I am sure when I pre booked a tee time for Lake Buena Vista golf course I had to pre pay? Or is it like CRT if you don't turn up they still charge you?

Never played golf but on the WDW Website for Oak Trail is says about booking Tee times so I would assume you need to!

They do try to accommodate walk-ups, but it's always better to reserve a tee time for obvious reasons. You need to provide credit card details when you book, but in the case of the MYW option for Oak Trail, it won't be charged (you just use your pass to "pay" at the time). No deposit is required for tee times at any of the courses, but they do require details to insure against no-shows. I'm guessing that even with the MYW option, if you reserved a tee time and didn't meet the 48 hour cancellation deadline, your credit card would be charged if you failed to turn up. I'm sure you're probably already aware of this, but Oak Trail is a 9 hole walking course.

On our 2010 Oct-Nov trip we did try and make use of the free round at the Oak Trail course and phoned up while we were there, but there was a juniors competition going on at the time so we were told that we could use the last 9-holes at the Lake Buena course at no extra charge.

After visiting the PGA course to look around we decided not to take up their offer as we're not that serious and certainly not good golfers, we would have only slowed those behind us down.

Instead we decided to brush up on our skills at the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course and that was hard enough, but great fun.

DH is a green keeper on a golf course and is a serious golfer I'm happy for him to go off and play gold whilst us two girlies go shopping or have a swim! X
