I just don't get it... How expensive can the tenders be vs.the nuggets? I mean almost every fast food restaraunt on the planet serves tenders and I have never had tenders that were bad... maybe under or over cooked, but the tender itself was always good... So what's the deal with the lack of tenders in WDW. They are such a people pleasing universally loved food... Nuggets on the other hand are viewed as kid stuff and over processed grossness by many adults.

I say if Disney doesn't like the cost of tenders they should choose another supplier... I mean even McDonalds has good tenders... this can't possible break the bank.

LOL...I was thnking the same thing last month when I could find no tenders, just those nuggets. I wasn't fond of the nuggets either...Wheres the tenders????

I had the nuggets at Columbia Harbor House and they're exactly the same as the tenders, just smaller pieces. I have no complaint about them and I don't like processed chicken pieces. I can see that smaller portions for more money might be a reason to complain though. Although that seems to be the way most restaurants are going, and not just at Disney World.

They are just Tyson chicken strips chopped into smaller pieces. Exactly the same. I am a chicken strip/ nugget connisuer so believe me they are Tyson.:upsidedow

I totally agree. I had the nuggets at Electric Umbrella and I was a little concerned they would be like McDonalds processed chicken nuggets, but they weren't. They were like small chicken tenders or strips, real chicken, all white meat. I never got the tenders before so I can't compare portion size.

I am a chicken nugget afficianado and went down to the World to find out what was going on for sure. They have the same exact tenders they used to have, but just cut into smaller pieces. Some of the kids' meals have a McDonald's like pressed chicken nugget. These were rare though.

I was a big disney chicken strip fan and when I found out there were no more strips, I was disappointed. But I am glad to report that the chicken nuggets are even better. I like the smaller, crispier pieces. And more smaller pieces in an order makes it easier to share. I didn't feel like it was a smaller order. Not to worry on this one!

When we were at AKV in July the Mara had tender strips. We aren't fried chicken pieces kind of people (well, the kids are but they weren't with us), but they definately had them available.

I was worried too, but the nuggets are just as good as the tenders were. We scarfed down a ton of them in the Animal Kingdom, they were tasty!

To me, chicken nuggets are a major food group and when I had them at Cosmic Ray's, I was quite happy. I'm not big on the processed type (although I don't turn my nose up at them :lmao: ) so the real white meat stuff was pretty darn good IMHO! Especially with the cheese to dip them in .......... uh oh, now I need to go back to MK for the cheese! Cheese nuggets, yummers.

I was bummed to hear that they got rid of the chicken strips...those were great. However, I am glad to hear that the nuggets are tasty. I was thinking they would be those "formed" chicken meat nuggets...YUCK!!!

I think I am one of the few who did not like the nuggets. I prefer my chicken in the tender shape....more to hang on too:rotfl: Seriously, I just didn't think they tasted like tenders, they were nuggets and were ..'ok'. I ate them at ASMo, POFQ, MK & AK. Not once did they 'knock my socks off'....they wre edible but not fantastic. So, if you are looking for tenders, these are not tenders, but little bites of breaded chicken. Sorry...don't mean to be a downer, JMHO

They are quite tasty..the same as the tenders used to be but smaller.Several months back there was a huge discussion about this.Disney pretty much went to nuggets for cost savings.
