We land at MCO at 7:43 p.m. and plan on using ME. We have a 9:35 p.m. ADR at 'Ohana and had planned on getting a taxi from our resort, CBR, to the Poly because of how tight we are on time. I'm beginning to think that even taking a taxi, we won't make that ADR by the time we take ME to CBR and check-in. I hope this is not a terrible thing to ask, but could we take the ME bus from MCO to the Poly or does it have to take us to CBR?

You are only allowed on the bus for your resort. You will have a ticket that will need to be scanned before you are allowed to board the bus.

Nope, your voucher will have the info regarding your resort...you can't decide to head to another resort.
If you land ontime at 7:43, you should plan on at least 70 mins (that's the average time we're seeing) to get from your gate to your resort. So..using that figure, you should be at CBR by 9:00. From there you can get a cab over to Polynesian. You may just make it by 9:35. If there are any holdups at all, you won't make it ontime.

I'm not sure how much time this would save, but could you send someone via a cab to check in at your resort? The rest of your family could ride the ME bus, and by the time you get to your resort (hopefully) the other person could have you all checked in, ready to go.

Even if it only saves you 15, that may make a huge difference when you are cutting it so close. Also, I have read that most airlines are padding their arrival times, so there is hope that you will land a little bit sooner than scheduled. Any place you can gain 5 minutes would help!

Here's how it's going to work. You get off the plane and to ME or the taxi at 8pm.

Me will have you at your resort about 9. You can dump all of your things with the luggage check/bell hop. But you won't have time to check in and go to your room. And then you will need a taxi to get you quickly to the Poly.

Because the time is so tight, I would use yellow tags to have ME take your bags to the CBR and take a cab from MCO to Poly. This will be much faster, and give you enough time to have the cab wait while you drop off your carry ons at CBR and maybe check in too.

Are you on the dining plan? If so, you need to go to CBR and check in (to get your KTTW) first. If you take a cab directly to the Poly, you will have to pay for your meal OOP.

crashbb - This is exactly what my husband mentioned when I just talked to him a few minutes ago. Which, that in and of itself, wouldn't be a big deal since we're paying OOP for a meal or two anyway, but its a moot point now.

Oh, well . . . just thought I'd ask. Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed that we won't hit any snags and keep our options open. I suppose if we are delayed getting away from the airport, we could call for a cab as soon as we get to CBR and check in after dinner (paying OOP).

Wonder what the chances are of not getting into 'Ohana at that time of night if we're a few minutes late?
