How does this work?

Can we get it from the airport - but take our luggage on the bus with us rather than let them deliver it later??

Also on the return - do we/can we take the luggage on with us?

If you are travelling with a toddler - do they have car seats or do they just sit in a seat on the bus??

Tell me all about it?

TIA:goodvibes

We took our luggage with us both ways (I think you have to take it yourselves on the way back as you could only 'check-in' domestic luggage at resort)

No car seats onboard - Dec just sat on a seat/DH's knee.

One piece of advice - make sure you have some food available for DS. We had to wait a while on the bus until everyone arrived. I avoided a melt down by finding a bread roll from the flight which I had forgotten I had!

if you want to take your luggage yourself on the bus, you just don't put on the ME luggage tags and pick your bags up as normal.

I used ME on a trip 18 months ago and I was generally pleased with the service. You can use the special ME labels and they will pick your luggage up from the second baggage reclaim (you have to claim your luggage initially when you first arrive in the States.)

However, In future I will always keep my luggage with me and take it on the ME bus myself. My flight arrived at 4.30pm ish but I didn't get my bags delivered to my room at POP until 2am. This was when there was a huge clamp down on hand luggage and I could only take a few things in a clear plastic bag - so had nothing to change in to, wash with etc etc.

I think that this might have been a blip in the service as others seem to think it was fine for them - but I would prefer to have my stuff with me, as well as my swim costume and Florida (rather that English) clothes with me so I can start my holiday when I arrive rather than wait around for my luggage to appear.

As others have said Kaylee ME will take your luggage for you from the second reclaim area (very handy to do but with the time difference you could be in bed before the luggage arrives at your room) we only had to wait on the bus about 5 mins before we set off and went direct to our hotel. There are lap straps on the bus and children use those instead of carseats.

One hint I did read about was to have 1 suitcase without the ME tags on and just take that onto the ME, then ask for your luggage to be delivered the next day, this way you can pack all the essentials for that night and your first day :thumbsup2

We used this last year and it really was not an issue, bags were all put underneath the bus, no problems getting them when we got to the hotel. The driver just pulled them back out and handed them back to us.No worries what so ever.

Hi

Do we use the ME or do virgin have their own buses. If so which would you choose to take you to POP.

Thanks

Virgin use ME as their transfer service to WDW Resort Hotels:thumbsup2 You don't need to book it separately:thumbsup2

hi
when we went last year we stayed at PO , we were the last to be dropped off , it took nearly 2 hours to get dropped off after we went to everybody elses hotel
next time we are getting a taxi
Baz

Our driver only had 6 families 2 for Pop Century dropped off first, and the rest were for the All Stars which were dropped in order of location. It all depends on how many families they have for each bus and locations.

We waited on the coach about 5 mins before we set off and went directly to our hotel, so it only took about 40 mins so we were lucky!

Kaylee, ME is great. It took a few hours for our bags to get to the room but it wasn't a problem we just brought what we needed in the hand luggage. They have TV screens on board and show Disney parks etc.

We'll be using ME for the first time in May - we have already received our tags, etc by UPS. :yay:

I was going to keep all our cases with us, but now I'm going to use that great tip mentioned on this thread. DisneyJo - thanks for sharing, I would never have thought of that myself!
