Disney's Long Term DVC Strategy

I understand that, and yes, it works like that in My Disney Experience as well. Resale will have it automatically applied in the app even though it's considered a "membership extra." Same thing if you mobile order table service to go at the resorts. 10% will automatically be applied in My Disney Experience.
You guys teach me something new every day. Thank you! I didnt even know you can take table service to go at all

Deluxe resorts at WDW got this during COVID when room service stoped. GF is the only deluxe that doesn't have it because it is now the only resort with room service across property. I believe Coronado Springs also offers table service to go as a Mod. Not all restaurants do. Usually the casual table service like Kona, Steakhouse 71, Ale & Compass, etc. None of the signatures are on it.

If you search "to go" in My Disney Experience you will see eligible locations.

Thanks again!

to me it is appalling that not all DVC deluxe hotels (with or without a DVC component) don't offer room service...

OKW and SSR I understand not offering room service, but beach club totally should!
I agree, they should also have it and Saratoga Springs Resort and SPA needs to reopen the spa. It already is hated by many it should open what it has to offer 🤣🤣

Agreed! It's another reason why I continue to like GF/VGF. It's also the only place on property that will do custom cakes because it offers private dining. Instead of worrying about picking the cake up from GF, you can have it sent right to your villa or served at a GF restaurant 👍

I worked with CR and Y&B Club private dining/pastry teams prior to COVID and they were both wonderful. It's sad this never returned!

Unfortunately you cant pick up a custom cake from VGF, they force you to have to have it delivered to the room. I know this because they made me a 40th birthday cake and I wanted to pick it up and save the very ridiculous forced delivery fee (pretty sure it was a percentage of the $400 cake and they wouldn't allow it 😒

I believe it was 15 % aka $60 to have them deliver it

I think you can still pick them up if you're not staying or dining at GF? I had a friend that just picked a cake up in April and brought it to RIV.

I have never tried to do that while staying at GF so I wouldn't be surprised they wanted to bring it to you and charge you.

Im not sure but that totally sounds like Disney they wouldnt want to deliver far in this case, but still make the sale 🤣🤣

You don't get a special mobile shopping discount. You get a discount for your linked affiliations which would be the same if you checked out at a register and showed you Magic Mobile pass, AP/MK, etc. The app doesn't increase your discount tier in any way.

If @juliebee got a 20% discount at World of Disney with a DVC discount using mobile checkout it was at WDW's World of Disney in Disney Springs, not DL's World of Disney in DTD. The only 20% merchandise discount that would automatically apply at DL is the Inspire Key discount which is 20%.
yes, at World of Disney in Disney Springs

Sanaa is another, limited to go menu but you can take the bread service to your balcony. :)
Oooh, might have just figured out how I will convince the family to do a staycation at AKV one of these days. Sanaa is one of my husband’s favorites, mainly for the bread service.

Timely because @VGCgroupie’s purchase guessing thread has me really wanting to spend a couple days at AKV.

Im so excited to try the one bedroom club level next year, was able to get 3 nights, I have a feeling I won't want to stay anywhere else

Club level would also be a great idea for a staycation (or “stayfari” as I’ve coined it in my head).

I’ve never been club level at the Disney resorts because it’s hard to justify the expense when we usually aren’t awake and around the resort for more than an hour or two a day…but eventually I hope to transition to slower paced visits…especially once the kids are off to college and we’re not dealing with limited travel periods at peak cost or peak heat.
