Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort - 2014 Roll Call!!!

They are putting in a Whole Foods where the Piggly Wiggly was. They have gutted the building and the front is completely gone so it will be a while before it opens.

On a side note. We typically cook our own food and had a few questions: 1) Is there a whole foods nearby? 2) How accessible are the outdoor grills? 3) Pots and pans in the 2 bedroom villas? 4) Suggestions for buying fresh seafood nearby?

The grills are pretty centralized and convenient. Pots and pans are typical time share quality and quantity, it takes a little juggling but we've always made due ok with fairly simple meals. We go out for seafood, so no suggestions there. I've heard the new Kroger is fabulous, they may have a good selection of organics/natural foods.

We've been twice with toddler aged kids and had a great time. There is a wading pool with fountains at the resort and a splash pad at the beach house. There is a nice little playground and many of the activities are fun for the littles. Mine always loved looking for the many marsh bunnies, birds, crabs, etc. around the resort. One of my favorite memories ever is rocking with my now 10yo son in a hammock when he was just 2. The campfires are always a big hit, as was the Pirate Party. And the rocking chairs on the balconies, they have always loved those too. I'm sure you will have a great time! It is so much more laid back than the parks and a perfect opportunity to just relax and enjoy your family!

They closed completely when the Kroger opened. I went in the Kroger this weekend and it is really nice. They have everything you might need in there.

I think there is another Piggy Wiggly at the Sea Pines circle.

I think the Sea Pines circle one is a Publix. And maybe a Harris Teeter?
There's another Piggly Wiggly at Coligny, but it was old and run down, not nice like the one by the Disney resort.

There is a Kroger close by that has a large organic/whoke foods section. There are pots and pans

For some reason I did not see this thread in my search. We will be there 4/12-4/18 and then one night in charleston. This will be our second time and we are all looking so forward to some warm sunny weather after this brutal winter! We have 2 boys 11 & 13 and will be staying in a 2bdr. Maybe I will see some of you there. We will be the blinding white northerners swimming in the ocean.

Our dates overlap! We are there the 13-18 and Charleston the 12th and 18th

We will be there as well during the last days of your trip: we are arriving on the 2nd and leaving on the 9th of July. Family of four in a 1BR, I asked for a marsh view, top floor. That means they should be putting us in the main lodge. If you hear people speaking French that might well be us!
