Disney's Happiest Haunts Tour?

On the phone right now. CM is saying there is no Disney Visa Discount.:headache:

I talked to a very nice CM yesterday that said there is a Disney Visa discount, so the price is $51.20 per person.

My family received these keys when we stayed the night. I am so impressed that they are all different. DL's attention to detail is amazing!

I just wanted to tell you I just read your account of your stay in the Haunted Mansion. That is so cool! Loved the pictures!:thumbsup2

This is the key I got from the tour last year:

Hey Wendy! What else do they do on the tour? Do you get a pin?

FUN!!! Can you tell me if the group goes right to the front of the line to ride???

You don't get front of the line to ride, but you do use the FastPass line....

I went the same day (different tour - Cheryl's mistake!!!) as Wendy. No pin, but you get the glow in the dark blinking necklace with the Ghost Relations key and a special treat made from a certain villain at the end of the tour :thumbsup2

EDIT - When we did the tour last year, it started in DCA and we were supposed to meet at the DCA Customer Service booth, then they let us into a little lounge there. Not sure if that's different this year................

Hmm. Well she booked me with a AAA discount, so it's fine, but she said there wasn't one at all.:confused3

I was told that we are to meet at City Hall in Disneyland, but pick our tickets up at guest services.

If we do the 4:30 tour, will we have time to get to Napa Rose for dinner at 8:15? I'm worried that we'll not have time to change clothes. I can always pack them and put them in a locker, I guess.

Okay, thanks. I really want to do this tour this year.

Yeah - it is a really fun tour! Actually, Jesse and I have decided to do it again this year (it is slightly different with the spooky Space Mountain instead of Snow White), so we'll be doing it too!

I am thinking about doing this tour on Oct. 10th. I called today to ask the length of the tour and was told 3 hours. DH will be going to Oregon/UCLA football game at the Rose Bowl so a little worried as to whether he could make it back in time. Of course he doesn't do TofT or Space MT. I think they start at TofT, is that right? Wonder where they go next?

I think this sounds like a great tour plus the fireworks seating! I am fairly sure the Disneyland website listed a Disney visa discount. So frustrating when you get different answers than someone else. I am glad that pp got a discount so it all works out.

I cannot Wait!

The DL website does say there is a Disney Visa discount. I'm still planning to book this but haven't done it yet, I think the 10th will work best for us too.

I booked my tour today for 9/26 and did receive the Disney Visa discount. She said the tour was 3 hours and does include the viewing area for the fireworks which are at 9:25pm.

Sounds like I got a CM who was not knowledgeable. :headache:
So...if the tour is 3 hours long, it ends at 7:30. Do you go sit in the fireworks viewing area for 2 hours?

Maybe the time difference has something to do with the park hours being different.

No - they will give you instructions on where/when to meet back up. Remember, there are two tours each day and they both get to use the fireworks viewing area :thumbsup2 Most people go for dinner or something after the tour and before the fireworks.

is the fireworks viewing area really good? Like can you see the castle and EVERYTHING?

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll be canceling Napa Rose. We're doing ToT party the night before, so we can't go that night, and I'd really like to try to see Fantasmic! We don't usually stay in the parks late every night, so we'll see how this trip goes.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we just got back and we spoke with a few girls at the tour booth on Wed and they all said that fireworks will NOT be included in this tour. I think they must know what they are talking about since 2 of them were going to be leading this tour. They said that it would be over well before fireworks time and we would have to find a spot on our own.

I forgot to add that they only have dates through Oct 10th so far, we weren't able to book for our Oct 23rd trip yet.

Arrgh. I hate when CMs all have different stories!

Yep. Have to be one month out. Today you could book for the 11th, etc.
