Thank you! And no, I did not take a photo. I thought about it, but didn't. It was so negligible, I didn't consider it photo worthy. It was an approximate 6 foot square section of the patio way off to the side, screened by the construction-screen bushes. No impact on the entrance or dining table area in front of Gaspy's. I did look in on it and it appeared complete. No construction was actually happening, and no construction materials or equipment were present. I think they had it screened off to allow the concrete to dry. Edited to add: someone else posted 2 photos of the area from last week. By this weekend, there was only the one very small area that I saw. All else was finished.

Our wonderful times at the GF in the past seem so insignificant today in light of such possible devastation in the state that surrounds it. Please be safe.

Oh, one more slight detail I thought worth mentioning. My stay last month and this weekend, both Resort View room... there were no GF slippers in the room! Last time I thought it was an oversight, this time, no slippers, so I now assume that the GF is no longer putting slippers in the room?

Did GF usually put them in regular rooms? I’ve only ever had them in Club Level rooms at other resorts.

Here is a picture from Sago 11/22 my 1st stay with new rooms so I took lots of pix. Gf was only one to have robes for all rooms not just cl.

Yep, slippers were in the regular rooms. I stay there 3-4 times a year as my daughter works at the GF. I've stayed CL twice, every other time I go Resort View. My assumption after these last 2 trips is that they've changed to only put slippers in CL rooms. My daughter's going to ask and let me know. Not that it really matters. I'm just curious. Edited to add: the robes that Trishadono shows in her photo were there, just no slippers.

Yeah, but the regular room robes are the waffle-weave type, not the super soft posh robes that are up in CL (as I know you know!).

DD's good. She's doing Ride Out and spent the night there in one of the RPC rooms. Weather was pretty nasty there last night. One of the balcony divider panel-walls blew off last night. Still some weather this morning. She started work really early this morning so I haven't spoken with her yet today.

Nope, I didn’t actually know regular rooms were supposed to get slippers too so I didn’t think to ask. I thought it was just a CL thing.

NP! Now I’m curious if they are no longer offering them for standard rooms, or if they are still available by request. Will anyone be there soon, in a standard room, that can do some recon work for us?? lol

Interesting. I checked in on 8/21 (2 days later) and didn't have slippers in my room. No slippers upon check in on 10/4 either, though housekeeping brought them 10 min after I called and asked. Was it just an oversight with me both times? It's possible. If my daughter gets an answer I'll let you know!

Definitely could be an oversight!! I always tell people to ask, especially if you’d like to have them!
