Any info on when the main building will open? Also on club level?
Unfortunately, not yet

As a big fan of GF, I can't argue with that choice. But if money were a big factor (and I caveat this next statement as going by what I've read and heard only - no personal experience), I might consider looking at a tower room in Coronado Springs. The brand new tower is said to offer a "deluxe" experience at "moderate" prices. That said, it cannot offer the location or amenities that the Grand can.Just booked the Grand for March 2022. I really hope a discount drops eventually for our dates, but DH thinks DS and I would be disappointed staying anywhere else (GF really spoiled us last time), so we’ll probably swing it even if they don’t.
It’s over a year away, but I’m super excited. I needed something fun to look forward to.
Right! Nothing compares to the Grand in location and just the overall feel of the resort. We have the money saved up already for full price. I’m mainly hoping for a discount because we were considering a private VIP tour if the resort ends up being a bit cheaper. I know it wouldn’t cover the whole cost, but it would make it something we’re more likely to consider. Though, I’ve read mixed reviews of COVID-era tours, so we may decide to not add that on anyway.
i was in RPC last year 3/6-9. Seems alike years ago lol! Thanks for the pixHi, all!I have been down here hiding in my little corner. I've missed you all. As I'm not allowed to venture forth across international borders at the moment, I've taken the opportunity to lap up the gorgeous photos posted by our dear GFers. I must admit to more than a little homesickness for our happy place at WDW and the Grand. A few days ago our building's garbage shoot underwent its semi-annual clean. I couldn't believe it, the powerful perfume that lingered was quite reminiscent of a certain hotel. It has prompted some vibrant flashbacks and more than one dream. If you could bear with me I would like to tiptoe down a few more memory lanes with a handful of photos from Christmas 2016 and May 2019. I have the feeling that memories such as these will have to last us for quite some time.

May 2019. A familiar sight from the monorail.
Over the past several years some of my spring bookings have been the GP discount, AP discount or Disney Visa discount.Just booked the Grand for March 2022. I got the Welcome email this afternoon from my travel agent (Dreams Unlimited, of course), and I totally teared up when I saw the:
Resort Information: Grand Floridian Resort, Outer Building Lagoon View room.
My husband doesn’t understand why I have such an emotional attachment to a “hotel.” I know I can’t be the only one.
When I was 16, we stayed at the Poly. It was beautiful, but my mom always wanted to stay at the GF because that’s where Regis and Kathie Lee stayed. That’s where they stayed on Full House. It’s iconic. She always said next time, that’s where we’d stay, no matter how long she had to save up. But, there was no next time for her. Her health got worse, and 6 years later she was gone.
Now, I’m in my 40s, and I’m planning my second stay there with my own family. It’s just surreal, and I’m oh so thankful that this is something we can do.
We want to try Narcoosee’s too. It’s my son’s choice for his “fancy” 13th birthday dinner. I’m planning on getting a little cake delivered to our table that night.Next time we want to try Narcoosee’s and of course V&A when it reopens. It must be really something when Fireworks are back to be able to watch from your balcony or the patio.
I don't eat much seafood and I love Narcoosee's! In January I got a Caesar salad and their crispy eggplant which is amazing. My husband got the pork chop and said it was really good. He was happy with the portion size too. I always get the almond crusted cheesecake! I won't share that dessert with anyone else it's so good!I want to try Narcoosee’s but I’m very seafood averse and have had bad experiences with turf options at seafood restaurants. My “treat yourself” birthday dinner is between that, Cali Grill, or Yachtsman if it’s open again by then. Really bummed out that Citrico’s is still closed because that menu was much more appealing to me.
