What's the best way to see the lights? I've seen various options such as golf carts, wagon ride and horse drawn carriages. We liked the idea of the golf cart but looking at the map it looks like you have to cross to the other side to collect them, seems a lot of effort and we would see a lot of the lights on the way! Are the options out of the question if we haven't already booked? Thinking of going 22nd dec

You could take the internal bus from one depot to the other.

You can rent bikes from the Bike Barn at FW and ride throughout FW and even over to WL.

The only downside to this option is the time wanting to go. In our experience, the bike barn was closed when we went to see the lights.

That's a good point if you want to see all the decorations in the dark. The bike rental usually closes in the winter around 5 or 6, but guests seem to have their decorations inflated and the lights on 24/7.

You can always walk!

Seriously, we always do a lot of walking while staying there, and is actually what we prefer - so relaxing and get our exercise too! Have never used carts or bicycles ourselves though it's a familiar mode of transportation for many!

I would take the boat to MK and then the monorail to the GF.

I would either do the boat to MK and then boat to GF or the boat to CR and then monorail to GF.

If you take the boat to MK and then monorail to GF, you will have to stop at CR, TTC, and Poly before getting to GF.

What's the rule on dogs at the campsites? I know they have pet loops and it's $5 extra per night for a dog, but can they stay in a camper during the day? Or must they be kenneled? And how much is the kennel for the day? Where is it? (Is there a website?)

Trying to find out info. for my parents who would probably be bringing their German shepherd with them.

Can you park a car and a golf cart at a site then? Is the 4 person cart $60/ day?

I can't comment on the dog nor the car - but the golf cart is $59 per day pluse tax, which I think works out to $63.40 per day -- and their "day" ends at 11am, so if you want it until 3pm, you have to pay another full day.

Looks like y'all are doing a split stay?? GF/FW?? Both GREAT resorts. You can't beat the beauty of the GF. My daughter says that's her favorite resort. When she was little, she continually told us she liked "the one with the pretty red roof".

You can park a car and a golf cart at the campsite. To my understanding, if you are staying in a pet loop, then the dog is your responsibility and can be left in your camper. Here's a very helpful link...just scroll down to "pets" or click on "pets" at the top of the site"

Yes, although I would prefer to stay at the Grand the entire trip, I was outvoted - I have meetings at the Grand and then the rest of the family is coming in the last day. Since there are going to be four of us and apparently one of us snores louder than an outboard motor, having separate sleeping areas was a must. I haven't figured out yet who it is that snores

Hi all, we are considering staying in a cabin next month largely due to the separate bedroom and boat to MK. If we do this we will likely rent a car as that is much cheaper than a gold cart. Question is can you drive the car to the marina and main bus transportation areas and leave it there for the day to take advantage of the disney buses? Don't really want to drive to the parks, just want a cheaper option to get around the fort. Thanks I'm advance
