Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Arrived Saturday around 10:20pm. Put my things in the room and headed to El Central.

What is nice about CSR is that more things are open later than other resorts.

We are in GDT this trip std view and it’s std, parking lot and trees with bus stop below.

That’s ok for this trip we have been busy with a short stay,

Transportation has been great. The tower has had many of its own busses and I haven’t waited more than 15 minutes to go anywhere.

A reminder for those new to the resort, a perk is how close CSR is to all the parks! We have stayed at all of them (except ssr) and when I come back here it’s the thing I remember right away, From bus stop to park is just quick!

The new CSR merch is nice in person too!
You should have a good fireworks view of Epcot fireworks from your room.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the QS. Is it all prepared in advance? I have read some negative comments regarding that, but I’d like to think if it is it is just that they are preparing based on expected sales as time goes on. Not like just sitting there for hours.
Some stuff is. But I would imagine they keep refreshing or making more as needed, like for example the stuff for my friends bowls were in pans and she picked what she wanted. The burger I had to wait for as far as spaghetti and meatballs were concerned the meatballs situation was in a pan, but he put the spaghetti stuff fresh in like this quick cook bathing thing to cook the noodles quick

Just wrapped a successful 4 night stay at CSR Tower. I was on 3rd floor and did not have ANY noise from the fire alarm! What a change from June when the noise in my room on a higher floor drove me to literally leave mid-trip and rebook myself elsewhere. (I never would have returned but my group outvoted me.)

Stay was good, food was good, no complaints!

So glad you had a better experience this time! :). I remember reading about what happened last time.

It definitely didn’t feel right just leaving it like I did since I had a good follow up last week! Like, I can’t say CSR Tower is back on the top of my list but it’s no longer ranked just ahead of “airport floor”

Just booked a standard view room in the villages, for March 14-19, I was able to book with the 25% off room only!
We want to be as close to the restaurants as possible, What should I request when I call?
Also does anyone have information about boat rentals and fishing?
This will be the second half of our trip - first half is at the Swan (March 10-14) and will be non stop parks. The second half will be watching our DD play college softball so we will be in and out but spending more time at the resort.

At CSR, there are no longer boat/fishing rentals. In speaking with a CM last month, he stated you can bring you own fishing pole and fish anywhere there is a fence.

Anyone need an air mattress? Like new, only used this week by me. Can't fit it in my luggage, and I'm checking out today. 😂 I'll be heading out around 1!

UPDATE: Mattress taken! :) :)

We had that horrid noise when we stayed at the tower too. We were doing club level so we weren’t wanting to move. Maintenance couldn’t help either. What did help was a patch of sticky back moleskin over the speaker. I’m sure it was a bad idea but it saved our trip, and we peeled it off when we left. This was over a year ago…really wish they could fix the offending units!

Sorry for resurrecting a post from months ago, but we just checked out this morning & I needed to come see if others had had this issue too. Sadly, certainly doesn’t seem fixed!

I am admittedly a light sleeper, but my traveling companion is not and he found it as annoying if not more so than me. Front desk also told us “it’s a known issue but it doesn’t bother most guests.” 🤔. Well…shouldn’t an issue bothering ANY guest get looked into?

My Loop earplugs fixed it for me, but for those staying who don’t want to sleep with earplugs in, pack some tape or something sticky as suggested above in case you need to muffle the noise.

We are DVC but booked this trip less than 7 months out and there was no availability to be had. Sort of a bummer as it soured our otherwise lovely experience staying here for the first time (it would be enough for both of us to avoid booking again.)

We had the same issue during our GTD stay 11/29-12/4 in a club level deluxe suite on the 12th floor, room 9231. Our adult daughter and her husband were sleeping on the pull out couch in the living room, with the barn door to the bedroom where my husband and I were sleeping closed. When our daughter reported the noise, the Chronos club staff told her the busses make a sound when they are raised and lowered to board guests. They did not bother to send anyone to the room to diagnose the problem. The “solution” the Chronos club staff offered was a box fan, which did not drown out the noise. The next “solution” was to sell our daughter and her husband a new club level studio room at @1,200 for 2 nights, which our daughter said that is too much. Or $572 for a room in the “villages” for 2 nights without club level. Hello? They were already on our reservation as club level, so our daughter refused that offer. The last morning I opened the barn door from the bedroom to the living room to watch the sunrise, and the freaking alarm went off, It was intermittent but incredibly loud. I was so furious, I went straight to the Chronos lounge and asked to speak to a manager. The manager refunded the $572 for the 2 nights in a room in the “villages”, but my daughter and her husband will never get back the sleep they lost for those first 3 nights. And to top it off, our daughter told me the Cabanas room they put them in was so humid that all her clothes were damp, and her husband’s paperback book was damp as well.

This was my 5th and last stay at GTD. I enjoyed prior stays, but now that I read here that other guests had the same issue, and the staff told at least one guest it was a known issue, I am even more irritated.

They have a management problem in addition to an alarm problem.

on the 12th floor, room 9231
We were also on the 12th floor. Wonder if it's worse on some floors than others. If so, quite sad because the "standard" view was truly amazing from our room and we even caught MK fireworks from the window in the hall outside our room one night.

If we're staying in a preferred room (which I think is Casitas), which bus stop would be best to use, or does it make a different what specific building we're in? This is over xmas.

Bus Stop #2 is closest to Preferred rooms. (Next to Casitas 1, 2 & 3)

#2 is the first stop going to the parks

It does. We just came back from CSR, Casitas 3 at the end right next to Casitas 1 and the covered walkway between the two buildings, and the GDT stop (#1) was definitely closer. Also closer for Casitas 1.
However, unless it was mid afternoon/off times, we always trekked to #2 across from Casitas 4 as it’s the first stop and we usually got seats instead of standing.
Casitas 3 is a long oddly positioned building so room location will make a difference for sure.

We just returned from 4 nights in room 9212 (12th floor) and didn’t hear a thing the entire stay. We did have a water view.

So we booked a standard view 2 queen in the villages - we would like to be as close to restaurants as possible due to DH recovering from chemo, are there any standard view rooms is Casitasas? Or are they all in Cabanas? If I call and explain our situation will they be able to put us in a close room? We will be spending most of our time at the resort.

Yes, but they are further than the Preferred rooms, and it would only be a request. If closeness is 100% necessary, you'd need to book Preferred or in the Tower.
