Oh no, this makes me worried. We have a preferred room booked. But I'm worried about how worn the room may be because I know that area won't be refurbished by April.

We were in a preferred room last Memorial Day Weekend. I think we were in Casitas 3. The tub/toilet area in the bathroom needed work, but we thought the rest of the room was fine.

it appears all of 7 and 6B is closed as well. We were staying in 6a checked out this morning and all the sidewalks to 6b where closed and it appeared all of 7 was as well. Also parking was extremely limited near 6a. Not only was a large portion of it closed for construction they had cones in pretty much half the spaces. No idea why.

In hindsight we should have stayed at another resort. Tv and AC wasn't working they tried to fix it twice and then we just gave up. Room was really worn, hence the renovations. Safe still had a key which I swear when we stayed in 7a two years ago it did not.
I'm so sad to read this :(
I'm debating switching to a different resort now.

Can anyone tell me the CSR bus pick-up/drop-off order by bus stop numbers? Trying to request a room that would be one of the first stops on the pick-up route.

I know people staying in both 6B and 7B right now so no, only 7A is closed. All safes there currently have keys. Always have. With the refurb they will be touch pad.

6b is not closed. 9b is closed which was a different catergory - business class. That is fenced up and close and is part of the new building coming and the reason the small lake behind 9b is being drained.

If your in a preferred room, that is casita 1, 2, and 3. They are no where near those buildings yet

I know, my concern is the state of the rooms pre-refurb.

It's really hit or miss, unfortunately. Obviously they were in need. I'm not sure of what you're looking for, but if you can perhaps switch to Port Orleans or Caribbean Beach. Those rooms are more recently refreshed. The downside will of course be either the cost at POR or the bus situation at CBR.

I just returned from WDW. We stayed for two nights at CSR, really only one day..got there late on Thursday evening, left early on Sat. I was hesitant about staying there but dd got me a great CM rate...so figured how bad could it be for two nights! Well...long story short? I loved it! Even dh loved it..and he doesn't really care for anyplace other than DVC at BW!! We were in Casitas 4...great location. The resort is large but not nearly as large as CBR! Stayed there for 3 nights in early January...don't feel the need to return there. But, CSR? We'll be thrilled to stay there again! The only thing we didn't care for was the food court area. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner there....none of the meals was particularly good. Dh eats just about anything, but he never finished his meal there! Breakfast was okay, but that was it.
Even the bus service was pretty decent!!! Can't wait to stay there again.

I agree. We stayed there this past September (originally requested Cabanas) but ended up in Casitas. Buses were great (close to bus stop, first stop in the loop). Stayed at CBR in 2015. The buses were a problem more than once.

Of the moderate resorts we really enjoyed our stay at CSR. I would definitely stay there again over CBR any day. I haven't stayed at POR since it was called Dixie Landings, so I really can't say too much about this resort except I would like to stay there [again] in the future.

Do they have an internal bus system as well as theme park transportation?

Anyone have a stay the last couple weeks and know what time the pools close? Curious for a trip next year in January (although know things can change).

I first stayed at DxLs...my first WDW trip. It holds a very special place in my heart. Even now it's my favorite moderate resort! I've stayed at POR several times now.

Because of the way the buses run, yes, it's an internal system. The buses start their route at the Casitas area...stop #2, finishing up at stop #1, which is the main area of the resort. So, you can hop on at any stop and get off at the last stop (#1, which makes little to no sense!!) to get to the food court, lobby, etc.

Its two fold. There is one system that runs like this. Park buses go in this order, bus stop 2, 3, 4, 1 and Disney Springs buses go 1, 2, 3, and 4. They do this so you can use the buses to get around the resort. CSR also offers an internal bus system that runs from all the bus stops, to Blizzard Beach and back to all the bus stops. So you have two choices.
