Thanks, is it true that Cabanas is more geared for kids though and Casitas is more for adults? I am only going with my girlfriend, thanks!
Families are put all over the resort. I have never seen a large amount of kids in the cabanas. They do put most conference people in the casitas or the cabanas business class building. There is a quiet pool in the cabanas area and I have only seen one or two kids in it. We spend a lot of time at the hotel and it definitely has less kids there because it is a conference center. As my husband says, he is happy to be around kids at the parks but it is nice to be a little more quiet at the resort. We have two kids 14 and 11.

Would you say that during the evening the pool is a little less crowded than a typical moderate because of this?

I haven't heard that, nor do I think it's true.

Hello does anyone know the exact dates for the Spirit Spectacular and Pop warner. I apologize if i missed the dates. Thank you for any information.

Definitely less kids than CBR. The pool at Coronado is huge. I think there are more kids at CBR because of the ship in the pool area.

This is exactly why we love this resort! Sometimes we need a little less crazy

Does anyone know if the main pool has life jackets for kids?
Rather not bring bulky pool floatation devices.

I can only speak for POR and CSR. The main pool in the evening will be crowded just as much if not more than the day time and I'd say all but one night did the main pool not seem too crowded at either resort. We've only done mods in the summer and winter so that may be a factor as well.

Yeah it'll be october but that's going to probably be rather busy. I'm hoping most families will opt for the Halloween parties/nighttime entertainment while we hit the pool. I'll just have to set some expectations, thanks!

Now, don't get me wrong when I say crowded. It wasn't like you couldn't move around the pool. That is one thing nice about CSR, the pool is very large. Don't have any plans of swimming laps or across without disruptions but you can still enjoy the pool. My wife and I like to walk from one side to the other, good exercise and easy on the joints after all day in the parks and we had no problems dodging a few people here and there. If you like the hot tub, be prepared to wait to find a spot. Some nights the tub was maxed out and others not so much. Of course we did have a lot of soccer teams there at the beginning of our trip and that was a factor because once they left the crowd level went down at the pools during the day and evening. I would also be willing to bet many families will be at the parties like you said so I wouldn't sweat it too much. If not, the quiet pools although smaller were not as crowded at night as the main pool.

Also, there is a large quiet pool by the fitness center at Casitas 4. It is technically a lap pool and is twice the size of the other quiet pools. It is a good option if the main pool is too crowded.

I'm more concerned about getting a chair (and a drink) while my son swims and uses the slide! Thanks for the info!

I have a feeling we will try each of the pools on property just to see them. Thanks for the info!

Is there a difference in the chairs in the Business Class rooms if you have a King Bed instead of 2 queens? Does the King room have 2 ottomans instead of a single lounge chair?

We stayed in a king bed, business class room last October and we had the desk & chair and a single lounge chair in our room.

We never found the pool at CSR crowded and we spent a lot of time there both during the day and night last October. Like others have said, it's a HUGE pool with quite a few loungers.
