I hope you don't think I am too much of a nut - but I thought Casitas might be better because I am less likely to see a snake there...I saw one last year at Typhoon Lagoon and kind of freaked out. As I am typing this I realize how ridiculous this sounds - any thoughts, is it more "marshy" in the Cabanas section??

If it makes you feel any better we have spent about 60 nights at CSR since 2010 and have never seen a snake. :)

Going to a conference at CSR, have mobility issues and wanting to have the best access possible to the convention center. My reservation (at convention rate) says king room but that's all. I'll be by myself so honestly don't care what the bedding is - more concerned about easy access to conference. Any advice or recommendations?

Here are a couple of links that may help.

Also you can try to call Coronado Springs direct and ask to speak to a Guest Services person.
The number is listed as 407-939-1000

Cannot remember from last trip but does Coronado have separate shampoo and conditioner or is it the combo. The kid needs separate and would be nice to leave ours at home. Coming to BC in 13 days! Cannot wait!

It is separate. I'm no expert on shampoo, but I always see people saying the stuff at CSR is decent quality and the equivalent of the Deluxe resorts.

Thanks- that is what I was thinking they had. Just wanted to make sure. Just stayed at Pop and of course they have combo shampoo/conditioner. I thought I remembered CS having grapefruit scented products but honestly it doesn't matter to me except the kid needs separate conditioner.

we stayed at CSR in may and AKL in November last year. we got the same toiletries at both. like saskdw says, there's a separate shampoo and conditioner (grapefruit scented--fresh and clean), plus body wash, body lotion, and bar soaps. I like the products (although I usually like to take my own so I can bring the Disney products back to use when I'm missing the World)

Dh and I booked a weekend away, no kids, at CSR May 5-8th. Now I see about the Invictus Games, is CSR going to be a zoo? President Bush is not expected to be there is he? We are hoping for a low key weekend, hanging by the pool. We are not planning on hitting the parks.

I'm thinking of paying a little more and changing to POFQ, but I don't want to make an impulse decision.

The Invictus Games are being held from May 8th to the 12th.
Most of the participants will be at ESPN for the events that week.
There could be quite a few stay overs after the games to enjoy the parks since the vast majority of the participants will be from other countries and may never get to come back to WDW.
In fact their web site is promoting exactly that.
There's also the National Conference for Nurse Practitioners at Coronado Springs from May 11th to the 14th.
That group is being told on their web site that CSR cannot be booked for 5/14/16 due to the resort being completely booked for that date.
We are booked at CSR for 5/13-21/16
It could be crowded at CSR for some of our stay. :worried:

What is the best building to request for standard room? We will be strong for the first time in CS in April. Also any conventions we should be aware ? We will have a car if that helps.

To be closest to the main building/food court Casitas 4 or to be closer to the Dig Site pool without being the farthest away from the main building, Cabana's. We were in a standard room last April in Cabanas 8A and loved the location. We were very close to the bus stop and Dig Site pool. The pool bar also serves quick service breakfast and will refill your mugs in the morning so we had no need for the main building. Cabana's 9A and 8B will put you a little closer to the main building but a little further from the pool/bus stop.

Hi all! Sis and I just booked a last-minute trip and we'll be staying in one of the Business class rooms. Does this come with in-room package delivery like the Deluxe club level? What other differences are there between the two "club" levels? Thanks! Looking forward to our stay!! :)

Not positive about package delivery but I am pretty sure they are delivered to the business center. It is like club lite. Much more basic food options and limited hours for the lounge. No hot food. Yogurt cereal basic muffins/pastry. Fresh fruit. Juice coffee milk and soda (ask if not out). Basic snacks like pretzels chips and dips in the evening with some beer wine and sangria. Water in pitchers. Pop in cans. We do enjoy it a lot though.

That sounds perfect for us! We're both light breakfast eaters, so the fresh fruit and yogurt is all we'd be looking for anyhow.

yep, this. Purchases sent back to your resort go to El Centro, and you pick them up there.
