Two quick questions...are there hair dryers in each room at CSR (if so, are they full-size or the small travel dryers they have in the values)?

Are there towels by the pool or do we need to bring our own?

1. Yes. Not sure what the values' hair dryers look like, though, so I'm not sure about the size comparison.

2. Yes, there are towels by the pool.

Hi, this thread has been so great! I'm considering staying at CSR for our stay in early September. DH and I will be taking our then 7, 5, and 2 year olds which has me stressing about the buses. I hate the thought of getting on the first stop (in the casitas area of I'm following along correctly) just to have them sit longer on the bus (my 2 yo is not so patient...) so I'd like to get on at the last stop but I'm reading the buses can fill, obviously. I'm just wondering how much of an issue full busses would be during such a slow time of year? Would it be better to risk it for the shorter bus ride with a toddler?

1. People staying at Coronado Springs should be stressing about anything BUT the buses. The busing at CSR is fantastic!

2. We purposely avoid the last stop, since that's also the one that most people go to. We've had much better luck avoiding being bypassed by already-full buses at the other stops. The time it takes to get around the resort and hit all the stops is not long at all. Compared to the waiting your child will need to do elsewhere during the trip, this shouldn't concern you at all.

Its been awhile since this post but THANK YOU for adding this info! I have a daughter with severe food allergies and was wondering about the BC option!:jumping1:

Just returned home from Coronado 2 days ago, so thought I'd give you all a little rundown.

We stayed in a Business Class room, #9543, in Building 9B. We LOVED the Business Class, and the lounge it provided. Breakfast was basic, with cereal, bagels, danishes, etc. But, since we are not big breakfast eaters, this was perfect for us. Evenings saw cheese, chips, salsa, cookies, soda, beer and wine. The CM's in the lounge were super nice, and went out of their way to help my son, who has nut allergies, making sure that they were always stocked with the safe cookies/brownies that he can eat.

We ate in the Pepper Market a few times, and the only item I really did not enjoy was the flatbread pizza. The one I got was nearly cold, and I just did not care for the sauce. My Dh thought that, other than the coldness, it was OK. Everything else we had was good, though. Nachos were huge, and the cheesesteak was quite good. We also had some gelato from the Rix Cafe...yum!

Aside from one morning (around 9:30am), when my husband and son were waiting for a MK bus, transportation was great. They waited 30 minutes that morning, but other than that we waited no more than 10 minutes at any time. We also never had a standing-room-only bus, even heading for rope drop at MK (and we waited at Bus Stop #1!).

We all loved the pool. The slide is definitely the best of the moderate resorts, IMO. Although, I found that some of the lifeguards did not seem to be as "on the ball" as I've seen at other resorts in the past. Not all of them, but a few (there were a few outstanding ones, also).

If anybody has any questions, ask away!

We've stayed here on Christmas Break and during July and not once did we ever see a full bus pass us by at either stop 1 or 3. We did pass by the main entrance bus stop on our way to a park this past summer but it was just after rope drop. We never board from the lobby at any resort in the morning because those tend to be the busiest. You should be fine with the buses. CSR is one of the best for busing.

I just booked my first stay at CSR. We go all the time to Disney but haven't tried this resort yet. My only option for a room (4/2-9) was "Preferred." After reading the threads on this forum, it sounds like Business Class would be a good option. There are 2 conventions the later part of the week that may have some of the rooms on hold. How long should I wait to try for a BC upgrade? If I'm not able to get BC, any recommendations on room location? I have 2 teenagers with me and our top priority will be convenience to bus stop, food, pool.

Thanks so much!

We're a family of 6 looking to try a Junior Suite at CSR. But I'm trying all sorts of random dates throughout 2016 and I'm always getting

This room type is unavailable for the
dates, party size or offer selected.

What's up? Are these rooms sold out for the whole year or is there something wrong with the website?

It may be the size of your party. I'm not sure if Junior Suites sleep 6, most likely just 5. If you put in a party of 5, you will probably see availability.

Edited to add: I just checked and a regular Junior Suite will sleep 6 adults, but a Junior Suite King only sleeps 4.

Ok Thanks, but on the first page of this CSR faq-thread it says there are 30 Jr suites... would that be considered "a lot" or "not much" ??

Is it possible these are getting bought up by conventioneers all year long?

Check your dates against the list via the link a few posts back. It may be that some of the conventions have rooms on hold. I checked for the second week in Feb. and was able to see availability, even at this late date.

If the count of 30 Junior Suites is accurate (no reason to think it's not) then that is a pretty small number given the size of CSR.

Again thanks, here's that 2016 convention list:

http://coronado.forumotion.com/t1242-csr-convention-list#7148

There's a big hole from Jul 20 to Aug 11 which is good for us because we usually go around late July - early August. But when I went in and tried checking availabilities, it was pretty scarce and I could barely get more than 2-3 consecutive nights for a Jr Suite, and on some dates I can't even get a single night (during that time gap) in a Jr Suite.

Are Jr Suites really that scarce to get?

My first guess that the reason you're having difficulty is because of the dates. Those dates are probably close to, if not, the peak of the summer season. If they really do only have 30, it's very possible that they are already booked up. Reservations for this year have been open for quite a while, so I can't say I'm surprised.

Note also that the convention list may not be complete or absolute. It was hand assembled by a non-Disney third party via Google stuff.

Thanks again. We're looking into the possibility of splitting our party of 6 into 2 rooms. We don't need adjoining rooms, but what are the chances of at least getting 2 rooms in the same building?
