When is everyone going?? I would love to say "Hi" to some of my DIS peeps while we are there. I can add them to this (my) post if people want! Would be neat to see how many of us actually are there around the same time! We will be there Sept. 2-9! We will be enjoying our first stay at CS Oct. 19th - 25th. We were originally booked the 18th-24th in a Business Class room, but had to change dates and to water view in order to take advantage of the FD pin we received. I was excited to try out BC, but having our meals taken care of was a deal we couldn't pass up. We normally tend to stay in the Port Orleans area, but wanted to try something new before being a family of Five/ budget limits our choices. I can't wait to get back to Disney!!

For those having trouble booking Business Class for FD here is why:

There are only 66 rooms in BC. The real kicker though is that there are only 23 standard BC rooms and the other 43 are the more expensive King BC rooms.

We stayed in a King BC room last December. This year our son is coming with us so we have a standard BC room booked. I see a lot of us in this thread are going during the December FD time frame so 23 rooms isn't very many especially if they aren't all designated for the FD promo. We should have the whole BC building filled with DIS members! Big party in the BC Lounge!

This makes me SO happy I went ahead and booked our business class room yesterday. I've been debating a split stay and really wanted standard business class at CSR. When you put it into this way, I think I made the right choice to not wait longer (or for a RO discount to come out) for our October 17-23 trip!

I ended up booking BC yesterday as everyone suggested (switched from standard) and got the last standard view room in BC for dec 12-25. phew! (sorry everyone that tried after). Rooms are still available for 18-25 but not the week of the 12th. Or I should say, there are some still available just not with the FD promotion.

I had one more question about fast pass +, if we are booked for two weeks dec 12-25, fastpass only lets you book up to 10 days (the number of days on your ticket). what do you do for FP+. I am inclined to want to reserve the second week since that is the week I am definitely going and the week that will be busier in the parks, but will the system let me only book that week or is it the first 10 days of my stay? TIA!

The activities are generally the same as the rest of the year, but they do everything earlier because its dark by 5:30pm. The campfire which is at 6:30pm right now is at 4:30pm and the movies under the stars is at 6:30pm. They have activities all day long at the Digsite for kids.

thanks this is very helpful! i know that some of the resorts have character visits around christmas and i was wondering when that was last year as we wouldn't want to miss it. it is good to know the campfire it 4:30 so we can plan on being back for that one evening. thanks!

We are booked with free dining in 2 rooms nov 15-22. Can't wait. Made ADR's Monday. Huge headache trying to make them, website didn't work, phone disconnected, long waits on the phone but I got them made and I'm pretty happy with everything. It will be me and 5 of my kids. We will be celebrating my 2 daughters birthdays that week, my youngest will be 6 on Nov 18 and my other daughter will be 14 on Nov 20. The only one of my kids that knows is my 13 yr old daughter, I had to ask if she would mind spending her birthday at Disney. Ofcourse she was thrilled with the idea. I'm gonna wait prob til Sept to tell the rest of the kids but it's so hard to keep my mouth shut. lol

I don't recall any character visits during any of our previous stays, but the CM's at the Digsite do a great job of entertaining the smaller kids. Seems like there is always a game or activity of some sort going on.

Poolside activities include:
Disney trivia, hula hoop activities, bingo, dance parties, temporary tattoos, musical shapes, chalk art,beach ball games, scavenger hunts. These are all at the dig site. You will get a activities calender when you check in. They vary from month to month. In addition, they have the campfire roast and movies under the stars.

On Easter, they had special activities... Mickey and Minnie meet and greet, candy scramble( my kids came home with 30lbs of candy), egg hunt,and easter crafts.

We will be there 11/1 thru 11/8. We didn't get BC, but we did get FD. We usually go the first week of December but had to change because of my job. Oh well, sounds like a great time to try Food and Wine Fest!

We will be there November 1-8 in business class. We are new to CSR. I too was planning on POFQ but am really excited to try CSR. Then we are going to try Universal for the first time and stay at the RPR for 4 days! Anyone else doing universal?
