If you have a reservation for bc is that a guarantee that you will be in bc when you check in? We stayed at CSR several years ago and booked a preferred room
but upon check-in they moved us to a standard room because there was no availability for preferred rooms.

First timer booked for fall 2015 (yay!) to take a 2 and 4 year old to stay at CSR. I'm curious if people who have cars on site ever choose to drive to get around the resort vs. walk? Not sure what parking is like or if that is realistic? Will we be basically leaving our car parked once we check-in or do some people drive to the parks and around CSR vs. using the busses?

I have stayed CSR two times. One with a car and one without. I much prefer the flexibility of driving myself to the parks and not waiting for a bus. The parking is great at CSR and you will have no issues parking near your room. There is plenty of availability, even if a convention is booked.

Yes you will be in BC. It's a guaranteed category. I'm pretty sure if there was an over booking problem they would be upgrading you to Deluxe resort at no charge.

So when I put in my November 2015 dates (not ready to book yet, just want to get a $ estimate), nothing but standard rooms show up as available! There's no way every room in Casitas 1, 2, & 3 is booked across our dates, even if they do include Jersey week, but I'm panicking that there are plans for some aspect of the refurb to continue into November! I ALWAYS PANIC!!!

for me when I checked every resort only had the most expensive room available!?! what's up with that?

My daughter can't share a bed. She is a horrible sleeper. I was planning to take an inflatable mattress.

Well technically the only thing your are guaranteed is a room on the property. I've booked a category before; preferred, water view, etc and when we checked in were told there were no rooms available in the category I booked and all they had were standard rooms. I was refunded the difference, but I did have to ask for that.

All 3 times it has happened it was because of maintenance issues and they had to take rooms out our inventory. Stuff happens. But that is when I was shown the fine print about what you are actually guaranteed.

Ok. This is our room before the cot was rolled in. We had the same situation. My son was terrible to sleep with. Anyway, on the far wall, in the corner was the head of the cot. (Provided by CSR) We scooted the desk down a little, moved the ottoman/chair and voila' ... plenty of room. It would be the same footprint for the air mattress.

His bed was quite comfy, too!

Started narrowing our options and considering a resort swap after the Fall discounts showed up. I booked a Standard at CSR after reading through this thread, and was able to upgrade it to BC today, when one suddenly showed as available. Thanks for the great information here!

I've skimmed this thread (it's getting pretty long though!) and the shipping information but I'm still not clear because a lot of the information is kind of old.

If I have Garden Grocer deliver items to CSR, where is it going to end up? Bell services or at the convention center where I have to pay more to get it?

Just booked our stay for October! It will be our second time staying, and my parents first trip ever to WDW. Very excited to be going back to CSR!

GG orders go to Bell services. There is no charge. We do this every trip.
