Not the main pool. They may close the quiet pools as they work on those buildings. But not this August.

Thanks Olaf! We are really looking forward to our stay here. Well my husband and I are... the kids don't know yet!!

Has anyone had Prime NOW (not Prime PANTRY) deliver to Coronado? Do they deliver to the convention center or to Bell Services if you're unavailable? Can you just meet the driver in the drop off area (or by Bell Services) to grab your order if you are there?

Never heard of them.

We always use Garden Grocer. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but the service is outstanding. They leave your order with bell services.

Never heard of them.

Let me rephrase...Amazon Prime Now, as opposed to Amazon Prime Pantry. 2 hour same day delivery for free :-) I'm just trying to figure out if it can work the same as Garden Grocer and not have to go to the Convention Center, as it's technically being delivered by a glorified Uber driver vs a mail or package company.

We are trying to decide between Prime Now or Prime Pantry also. I've read that if your package is accidently delivered to the convention center (even though its an accident) you still have to pay a fee. Would like to know how often this happens.

Am I reading correctly that pepper market is closed between 2-4pm. Just want to know when we can eat lunch before mnsshp in october.

Thanks everyone for a very informative thread! I'm excited to try Coronado in August since I've only been at CBR before. I'm booked in Business Class and looking forward to the extra amenities and closeness to both El Centro and the Dig Site pool.

How busy will it be Jan 31st thru Feb 7th with the Dance Competition being held at CS? Would anyone change to POFR for these dates?

Here now and they closed the beaches and are removing the hammocks from the resort. Such a tragic incident at Grand Floridian.

Oh crud. The hammocks are something I very much enjoy. I was afraid they would do something like this. I feel terrible for that family - I cannot imagine - but I knew Disney would do something like this.

I too love the hammocks, but completely worth it to prevent another freak accident.

There are definitely alligators at CSR. We saw several on our trip in early February. One swimming and a few different ones sunning in the tall grass around the lake. I'm curious to see what other measures they will take at CSR to keep people away from going near or into the water.

IMO conventions are a good thing to help keep the pools and buses less crowded
question?? I'm new here and my wife and I are thinking about switching from WL to CSR (budget). The dates we are going they have 3 scheduled conventions (Sept. 11th - Sept. 16th). Is the resort super crowded during conventions? Do you notice it when you are on vacation? Also, how are the standard rooms at CSR?

Thanks

Actually they are usually in "convention" like 8-5 or so. That makes the resort feel less crowded. Not as many in pools or buses.

The std room for all the mods pretty similar. 2 queens and bath. I do like the sliding wooden door for the bath. They have mugs for coffee vs the paper ones too.

I have had many nice visits to CSR. You will love it as long as walking isn't a problem.

So pretty!

I wonder why they are removing the hammocks. At CSR it is not like you could actually enter the water even if you wanted to because of all the shrubs and bushes around the lake. I have seen an allligator and a big snapping turtle. I have no urge to go in the water.

It can be a bit busier at the hotel when conventions are going on. Most of the people attending conventions stay in the Casitas. If I were you, I would request the Cabanas. They do have some standard rooms there. You will love the buildings.

I was always bummed when we come in November and there were no water sports at the Coronado during this month. Since I just heard about the little boy at the Grand Floridian I have no urge to ever do a water sport at Disney. I feel so bad for his family. I can't even imagine what they are going through.

You will love CSR. I always stay in the building next to the business class. I love the closeness to everything. So peaceful.
