Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Thank you! About how long of a walk was it to El Centro? Just wondering about using the refillable mugs.

I'm thinking about 5-7 minutes, depending on pace, though I never timed it. It may have been less. We definitely didn't feel it was too far for the mugs and we got good use out of them.

I've been following this thread since last year when DH and I contemplated staying at CSR for a portion of a short stay with Universal. We ultimately decided to stay at Universal and just drive over to MK and HS for the two days we were in the Disney parks.

Now, after much back and forth of on site vs off site, AKL vs CBR vs POR vs CSR for a summer trip with the kids, I've booked CSR standard for June of this year. So, now I have a few questions!

If we want to avoid Ranchos because we do not care for the theme there, but want to be closest to the Dig Site and a bus stop, what should we request? Can we request specific buildings, like Casitas 4 or Cabanas 8A? When we stayed at ASMo and the Poly before, we used the quiet pools and are generally happy with that most days, but like the idea that we can enjoy afternoon activities at the main feature pool AND get food and refill drink mugs at the pool bar.

If my kids decide to be a pain about sleeping in the same bed, what are our options? Can we request and pay for a roll away bed or would we need to bring a blow up mattress?

Thanks!

Reading this thread has got me even more excited about our trip, can't wait to stay! Just had a few queries though - some of these may be more relevant to another board, but hope they're ok to post here:

- What is the best way to get from CSR to Boardwalk/Beaches & Cream without a car or going through a park? We're happy walking. Just want to make sure our ADR time is realistic/we plan in enough time to get there (plan is AK for EMH, mid-afternoon rest, evening Boardwalk with Beaches & Cream ADR 7:30)

- If you order from Garden Grocer, does it get delivered to reception - you don't have to be there to receive the delivery? Also, can you drink your own alcohol around the property - sit somewhere in the grounds with a beer for example? Or is that frowned upon?

- Any recommendations for rooms to request for 2 adults (appreciate there's no guarantee we'll get what we ask for)? We have booked standard view. Hotels.com reservation says it could be Queen or King, but was the cheapest category so I'm assuming it's a Queen in reality! Preferences would be close to a bus stop and pool (quiet pool is fine), perhaps a bar (with this and the last comment I sound like drink's all I care about now!). I don't think we'll use the food court/restaurants much as we'll be out and about, so being near them is a bonus but not essential.

Thank you!

For garden grocer you do not have to be there. Once we got up to our room we called bell services and they brought it up to us. Love the service and will use it every time.

What is the best way to get from CSR to Boardwalk/Beaches & Cream without a car or going through a park?

Taxi. We always get a taxi for resort-to-resort travel. It's typically under $20, and super-quick and convenient.

We like the Cabanas. The Casitas will (potentially) get you closest to El Centro, but like the feel of the Cabanas better, and you're closer to the main pool. There's also a great bar at the pool.

Thank you!

A Taxi from CSR to BW takes 5 mins and cost $6 plus tip. You can catch them out front of the main lobby. Just ask one of the CM's that are standing there to get you one. If you are determined to not spend money on this trip, take the bus to Blizzard Beach and transfer to the BW bus. Time will depend how quick the BW bus comes at BB. BB is literally 1 min from the CSR entrance.

GG order will go to Bell services. I usually have them grab the order after we check-in and have them bring it on the cart with out luggage.

Casitas 4 was my favorite location before there was Business Class. Other than that, anywhere in the Cabanas is good. I actually don't mind Ranchos 7B either, but would prefer not to be anywhere else in Ranchos.

FYI - We just used Uber to get from our resort to Jambo House at AKL for our breakfast at Boma. It was $5. Super easy and the guy came right up to the front of the resort. The guy who brought us back to the resort took us right to our building!

That's perfect! Thank you! Casitas 4 looks very close to the buses which is great :-)

That is what I love about being in Casitas 4! You are very close to the first bus stop picked up/dropped off, and the walk to the front is only a few minutes.

We were in Casitas 4 (4102) and were the closest we have ever been to a bus stop. As we opened our room door, we saw the bus pulling up. We were close enough to read where the bus was going and make it to the bus stop in time.

You can take a bus to HS and walk over. You don't have to go through the park. You can also grab the boat but it takes more time than walking

Good to know! We are moving over to AKL after our Coronado stay. I was contemplating taking an Uber over.

I have reserved 3 rooms for 8 people all standard views - there are 4 in 1 room, 2 (couple) in another and 2 (non couple) in the 3rd. But not all arriving on the same day - 2 rooms on Friday and 1 room on Saturday - reservations are linked together though. Had to choose casitas on the online check in because the only other option was ranchos (Don't really care for they seem to have depressing scenery to me) really want Cabanas. What do you think that my chances are to get the Cabanas for all the rooms? Really do not care if they are close together as long as they are in the same building. How do I make sure at my check in that they will be all in the same building - can they look up the Saturday arrival reservation and make sure that they are in the same building?
